Looks like a TN panel..prob a good buy for the price, BUT native res doesn't work with HDMI...must use analog.

I bought this monitor a few weeks ago and really like it. But as the other poster pointed out you must VGA to get native resolution. However the picture quality still look plenty good to me.

So whats the deal with not being able to get native resoltuion through HDMI? If I used a DVI to HDMI convertor on my 4870 I still wouldn't be able to run at 1920x1200?

Your 9800GTX+ should be fine I run a 24" at the same res (1900x1200) on a overclocked 8800gt no problem even in newer games.

Would there be a difference in term of displaying it using the analog and digital?
I saw quite a bit of good reviews for it.
PC Connection has it for $249.99 with free shipping and no tax for CA residence. I wonder if PC Connection return policy is as easy and good as buy.com?

It claims to be true 1080 but it's 1920 x 1200. How does that play out for movies and stuff? Will there be black ribbons?

this sure seems like a killer deal on such a big lcd...

as for using vga, i got a soyo 24 to plug into my dell laptop, but the 1920 display sucked... the thing is beautiful at 1920 with a dvi in source, but sucked with analog... not sure how this one acts, tho... i have a older acer analog only 1680 lcd that's beautiful plugged into the dell...

Sure, if you trust a Recertified monitor from "Famous Maker". Westinghouse isn't known for high quality, but at least they are known.

A friend bought one of these. It was an HP with the name scratched off, looks like they did it with sandpaper. It was full of scratches and was shipped loose in a large cardboard box with no padding at all. I was amazed it worked. Was in pretty sad shape as far as I"m concerned.

It's true 1080P because it has enough pixels to display 1920x1080 content. I.E. is physically capable of displaying 1080Pcontent without rescaling it.

Because it's actually a little "taller" than true 1080P (1200 lines > 1080 lines), there will be thin letterbox lines (60 pixels high) above and below 1080P picture.
