Thanks for the heads-up. Looks like some good deals to be had. I just wish they would do this deal on the x-10 decorator switches. I have the push-button ones and they tend to confuse visitors .

And, ya, their spam/popup/marketing tactics suck.

I had a bunch of x10 stuff around my place. Over the last 2 years, almost every single product I have bought from them has just stopped working. RE X-10 spam... after you have placed an order, you can set your preferences for receiving e-mails. I set mine to "once a month" (which really seems to work out as about twice a month) because I want to know about stuff like this sale... but there is a NONE option.

X10 is a great concept. I too have had many X10 products which no longer work.

If you want a product which will stand the test of time then SmartHome has much, much higher manufacturing quality. Trust me when I say it is worth paying for quality when you are automating you home.

Their cameras aren't so hot (can't get them more than 15-20 feet from the receiver before the signal goes to hell), but I've had fairly decent luck with their switches and remotes. I modded some in-wall light switches so they'd work with fluorescent lights...as long as you don't try to dim them (can't dim fluorescent lights), they work well. The only one that conked out on me was a miswire on my part...fortunately, they're not too expensive.

Anyway, not everything is buy one, get two free. In fact, very few of the items are buy one, get two free. Nonetheless, I placed an order a couple days ago. eBay is also a good place to buy x10. Go through a popular seller and you can ask for other x10 items with your auction at reasonable prices.

The lower you put the camera the less likely you will have steam on the lens....I prefer to have a higher quality exhaust fan to get rid of the steam before it builds up.
