That's good news for me. Just started the RMA process for the 3rd time on my Rampage Formula. I'll have to call back and see if they'll cross-ship me one.

Yeah, unfotunately they keep sending the same board back. System freezes all the time shortly after booting up. Freezes during memtest with three different sets of memory and two different CPUs. They promised to send out a new board this time.

I wish a lot more manufacturers would start doing this with expensive high-end components. The enthusiast sector deserves this kind of customer support when our $300 motherboard isn't working. We shouldn't have to be out of a computer for a week or two while the component is shipping to and fro.

Sweet! Makes me feel a little more secure about my P6T purchase.

I agree with Burningrave101; if you are purchasing a high-end enthusiast MB, why shouldn't you expect better service? If I you purchase a high-end PSU such as a OCZ or PCP&C, you get a better warranty and better service; same with Corsair and all their XMS memory. Makes sense to me.

+1 for ASUS.

It will be interesting to see how Gigabyte, MSI, and the rest will react to this. It would be nice to see them adapt a similar RMA policy.

I know what you mean but getting better services is always a good thing even if it affects just a small portion of the market. ASUS?s move, if not for anything else, is a start. If other manufacturers adapt similar policies and start competing over RMA services and not just products this whole thing will eventually expand to cover more and more products and this would be great for all of us. Instead of blaming ASUS for introducing a new level of RMA services we should all hope that others will mimic them.

well..... they really don't have anywhere to go except better than where they are now.

I made my last ASUS purchase (P5B Deluxe) about a year ago and just replaced that with a Gigabyte (EP45-UD3P). Online support from Gigabyte is the best I've seen over on Tweaktown where reps post 24/7.

Next best support I've seen from my current Gigabyte support is a few years back with DFI and their NF4 series of boards. DFIStreet was awesome back then. Maybe still is, but ASUS can't keep up with either of them.

If you're going to buy an ASUS get the newegg replacement policy and skip the ASUS hassle. You'll pay for the replacement policy when you have to ship your board back the first time.

If Asus does not give you good service now, why should you buy their overpriced junk?

What makes you things will change?

That is an endless argument. 'cause one person will claim Asus has gone down the drain while xxx has improved or the same. Which in a matter of seconds I can find another horror story proving that xxx company is not any better.

Like the guy earlier in the thread and his Rampage Formula he is on his 3rd RF board. Well I can dig bag to last year IIRC with a guy who had 3 or 4 Gigabyte boards die on him. It's just an endless cycle.

Like I said before, the service they provide is exactly the same as others(yes, you will get occasional horror stories but you get those with all companies); which is now being changed if you buy their premium boards. Which eventually means some other company will try to step up their service too; in the end it will just lead to happier customers.

TBH, I don't know why they don't just do this for any RMA period. It's called good customer service people! It should be considered standard. At least that's they way I see it.

I guess it's one step forward for ASUS.
