Buy S5 now or wait for S6?

I have iphone 5 and i want to change...
Should i buy S5 now for 625$ or wait for S6 which will be priced 1250$?

What i need in a phone is calls, web browsing, facebook, and whatsup...
I dont use any thing else, i dont care for Cpu speed or any thing else, but, battery life...

I need you advice guys...
What would s6 benefit me if i use the things i mentioned above?

Not sure where in the World you are, but to me $625 seems expensive. It is for example available for Euro 399 at Amazon Spain, a price that includes VAT at 21% for Spanish customers, but excludes delivery outside Spain.

In principle, prior year flagships represent better value than new flagships just as they are being released, but of course specific features of phones and the characteristics of each consumer will determine each person's preference.

Get the s5. Battery life is good and it's less expensive. Has a microSD slot and removable battery.

Since it seems battery life is really important, buy a spare and swap them out if it gets low. The phone boots in less than a minute.

Without a doubt, the S5. Really though, I'd say something else entirely. I don't know mobile, but it seems like to should be able to get something much cheaper when you don't care so much about performance.

Your location would help as your prices are both unusual for both the S5 and S6 (weird currency exchange?).

At that price difference its all about your budget. Spending that much for a gadget in a year can be a big deal or nothing at all based on your economics. Only you can say whether it's worth it.

What's the Note 4 run locally?

I had s4 on att. nonremovable bloatware and permanently locked bootloader was big downside, but it may not matter much to you or op. It wouldn't matter to me much either, but touchwiz and Samsung apps were awful.

Do you care about design and build materials?

The Galaxy S6 has much more premium design and build materials than the Galaxy S5.

I had S4, and I agreed with you on TW and Samsung apps were awful, but I disable most of them and use Nova launcher so it was bearable. S5 so far seems smoother and faster than my old S4. I just hate its microUSB charging door, so I bought Samsung wireless charging cover.

Damn, at those prices, I'd stick with what you have already or get something cheaper like a Moto G. $650 seems a little pricey just for a web browsing phone.

There will always be a better phone about to be released. The S5 is a very good phone and you'll get a good deal on it if you get it now. If you don't mind a larger phone, consider a Note 4. It has several improvements over the S5.

Get the G901 version of the S5 if it's available to you (beefed up CPU and GPU, everything else is the same.)

I hated the S5, So much that I sold it after a month. I had given my S4 to my son so I had to go back to my Note 3 until I got my Note 4. Bottom line, get an S4 over the S5 or get the S6.

Have owned an S3, Note 2 and S5 from Samsung. My S5 was provided by my employer and actually had an HTC M8 that I gave to my wife. Personally, I would not look at a Samsung phone unless it was a Note 4. Otherwise, I would look at a Nexus device or even an iPhone.

Having had all the Galaxy S phone I found the S5 (other than the 1 and 2) to be the least appealing phone on all fronts, from looks to feel (horrible back) the the screen being a tad sunken in especially when compared to the S4. The S6 is what the S5 should have been. But thats just me. Even my son didnt want it.
