Amazon has Aladdin's StuffIt 7.0 for $24.99 - $45.00 in MIR = -$15.00. This is actually a pretty useful program. I use it all the time to decode those Mac .sit files people are always sending me... Also manages and handles .zip files as well.
Sadly, shipping is not free on this item (or any of the free after rebate stuff, as I recall), so it will eat up about $5 of the profit. Also, beware of the Elibrium software -- they're backing out on paying the rebates for the last batch of stuff they had free after rebate at Amazon.
The StuffIt rebate goes to TCA in New Rochelle, which means a long wait for your money, and I think there are 2 of them to file for the same item.
Doesn't most manufacturers say something like the rebate amount cannot be more than the purchased amount?
It's like they're paying you to take this stuff off their hands. God Bless America!
From the last batch of Amazon free after rebate, I ordered PhotoImpact 6, for $ 45 less $ 45 rebate...just checked rebatestatus.com and it says my $ 45 was "mailed" to me & I should get it within 2 weeks.

PhotoImpact is not an Elibrium title (I also bought that and received my rebate a week or so ago). The font stuff, the Home Productivity kit, etc, were. In this offer, the holiday stuff is Elibrium.
I actually purchased this (stuffit 7.0)and several other free after MIR items so that the price will get over $100. You can use the Egghead 10 off 100 coupon code then. Several things:
1) Showed price of 24.99 until I went to checkout, then it was 30 at the checkout.
2) The rebate forms are not all available, there is a 30 rebate form (explains #1) but the second form for
$15 is nowhere to be found.
3) Many of the other rebates state that they want the Original receipt. I am not certain they can demand
the original, but many forms are asking.
They have a Viking brand 64 mb smartmedia card that comes with a free 16 mb smartmedia card. I purchased these items (39.99+14.99) and Stuffit 7 (30.00) and My holiday greeting cards & mailing labels (9.95+9.95).
Bought with Amex Blue, I am very persistant about rebates. I will hold Amazons feet to the fire over these rebates.....I had no problem getting Elibrium rebates from Staples promotion. I will complain to Amex and request a return........Amex has Return policy for cardholders who have been refused the option to return items.

i got my stuffits recently. the $15.00 rebate actually comes as a sticker ON the box (for those of you who weren't able to get it off the website). the $30.00 rebate has been taken down but i believe you would have had to make the purchase BY Dec 31st to get it anyway - i think it was still posted on the 31st, anybody know? if you did the price adjustment of about $5.00 (since Stuffit is now priced at 24.99), you'll AT LEAST be able to make $5.00 with the $30.00 rebate. i'm gonna try my luck with sending in the $15.00 rebate as well. if it goes through, you could possibly make $20 off this!(i doubt BOTH rebates will go through since they both require the original UPC)
