I would pick up the Wii to play Xenoblade Chronicles but I am ADULT. If your kids really want one get it. The Wii U could cost HUNDREDS more. And may have no good games a launch....
What's wrong with buying it to play a game that you're interested in. Okay, maybe there's something wrong with buying it to play
one game that you're interested in.
edit: found the black wii with super mario bros for $129 at target. guess i'll get this, mario kart, 3 extra remotes, and 4 wheels so that we can all play together
It's a little late to warn you (okay, like a month too late ), but that smaller Wii does not play Gamecube games. I was interested in getting it as well, but I was rather turned off by the fact that they removed Gamecube support, released it
at the same price,
and it's not even smaller!
The chances of me playing a Gamecube game are small (I've never played any, so I'd "need" to play the Zelda games I suppose ), but I'm running out of room in my entertainment center, damnit! I would prefer it if the console that they removed physical features from (i.e. the gamecube controller ports) was actually smaller because of it.
