So I've been looking for a cheap beater truck to learn how to drive stick and I came across a 1994 Ford Ranger 2wd listed for $550. I offered $300 and the lady accepted. I have arranged to go see the truck tomorrow.
The lady says the truck is in good running condition (does not burn or leak oil) with new tires, new U-joints, new wiper motor, new heater motor, and a new battery. The only disadvantage is that the truck does have a little over 470,000 kms so Im wondering if you guys could suggest what things I should be looking out for tomorrow when I go check out the truck? I know these are tough little trucks, but is it 470,000 km tough?
I only want to keep the truck around long enough to learn how to drive manual, but who knows...I might keep it a few months to daily-drive it or probably go take it out for a few off-roading runs.
