I thought OP was a chick, changes this whole tread for me.

If its not a man date telling him to F-off.

Lol this thread reminds me of that time I jokingly invited a guy out on a date while in a group of friends. Try that at a bar once, hilarious conversations will ensue. Just don't be serious.

Take him to expensive restaurant.
Get there & realize you forgot your wallet & plastic in your other Rolls Royce.
He'll pay.
Then fuck him in the back of your hooptie-mobile.

Never ate at Cheesecake Factory, but I don't see what the hell is wrong with Applebees?

OP: The guy sounds like a bitch. Keeps bugging you to take him on a $100 dinner? Tell him to suck a fuckin dick.

i actually don't either, lol. I see it maligned a LOT on these forums and elsewhere though, hence what i said.

I think that is what his friend wants... to suck his dick.

Get a few friends together along with birthday boy, meet at whatever restaurant you're comfortable paying for, then pick up his check along with yours. That way it's more of a party atmosphere and (more importantly) YOU CONTROL WHERE YOU ARE EATING. It's not up to him.

Just take him out somewhere decent. Just look for an inexpensive place that he hasnt heard of and say you heard good things about it. Worse case scenario, you get a bj out of it. It wont kill you. Best case scenario, you enjoy it!

And this probably applies to everything, but I think there was a Seinfeld episode on this.

Looking for your thoughts. There's this guy that I'm somewhat friends with and I wasn't able to make it to his 30th birthday dinner. To be nice, I told him I'll get him next time. He keeps pressing to get dinner together and he names these expensive places. I would only go to those places if I was taking a girl out that I really liked. Is this guy serious?

I'm finding it hilarious because most guys would just be happy if someone bought him a shot at a bar and call it a day. He "isn't into the bar scene" so I don't know what to do with this guy. How to best handle this situation? I am not going to drop $100 for a sushi dinner (like he wants). I'm broke.

WTF, is he gay or something? I usually joke about going out to expensive dinners but I could care less if they bought me McDonalds instead.

uh, what?

im pretty sure two guy friends can go out for dinner if they want. op missed his buddy's b-day and wants to take him out somewhere as a gesture of friendship. im pretty sure that is no big deal.

Nope. I know every time I've asked a guy out, I had a good pushpin session in mind. :sneaky:

Give him a blowjob. Otherwise, skip dinner and just get him lunch like any normal person would.

Be forthcoming and tell him you're not spending that kind of money. Definitely look for some happy hour or reverse happy hours to make higher end places quite affordable.

Yeaaaa, no.

I have no problem with buying him dinner. My buddies and I do that. We're too old to go out and buy actual gifts for each other. But we just go to the same decent sit-down local mexican place we always frequent, nothing special. This guy thinking it's a special occasion to go top shelf.....no.

You guys must not know each other very well. I'm sure my friends would joke around about going to an expensive place and I'd respond with a ha, dude we're going to get a pitcher and some chicken wings, we're not going to the Melting Pot.
