Gonna order the suit and shirt tomorrow. Probably order another shirt while I'm at it. Unless you already have a suit that fits properly you will need to get you actual measurements for everything. Even with proper measurements given you will likely need to get it tailored to some extent as well. As for those shoes and that shirt, unless as pointed out you are wealthy and or will wear them a significant port of the time, you can get things that look nearly identical for ~1/5-1/10 the price...

I'll get the AE's on sale. I'm not paying $300+ for them. I might end up getting them from Goodwill used. (They show up often enough) I already have a pair of AE's that are black. They're just not in the style that I'd like. (I got them at goodwill) I've wanted a pair of walnut strand's but they're not going to go well with a charcoal suit.

And the suits come with a $75 alterations cover. If I need it altered, I can get it done so. The suit is made to measure. I am going to a tailor tomorrow to get measured as well as I can and going to make the order. Oh and the shirt is also made to measure. That's why I am getting it. I rather get something that is made to fit me rather than trying to get stuff that is not made to fit me be altered to do such. :/

I bought a suit on sale for like $180, including pants, from JC Penny. Looks great. Would the return in going up in price be worth it? Fuck no. A suit is a suit in 99% of the cases. Unless you are meeting with the executives of some large corporation, it probably won't make a difference. What makes a difference is how you carry yourself.

If you carry yourself like a bitch, a $700 suit won't do shit for you. If you carry yourself like a boss, you won't need a $700 suit to do shit for you.

Yes to the allen edmonds, no to the suit IMO. Fucking looks way too tight. I'm not saying be loose, but this is a step past "Professional" and into "Metrosexual" world.

Just IMO. I would much rather grab a nice suit from Brooks Brothers or an Ermenegildo Zegna.

Knowing how stupid you sound, it's probably black, pleated, and has 3 buttons and you look like a clown to anyone that isn't stupid with suits.

Simple rules:

1. NEVER wear a black suit. Unless you are going to a funeral. If you think otherwise, you're a moron that has no clue what they are talking about and you rarely wear a suit otherwise you would know this.

2. 3-Button suits are dead in the water. Few places sell them, but you wouldn't know the difference when you find one on the clearance rack.

3. Pleated is pretty much dead. Unless you're incredibly old, your pants should not be pleated.

I have a few pleated 3-buttons myself. In fact, I wore a charcoal one in my last interview, got the job quite easily. Don't think they thought I was a clown.

The key point is "a decent suit." I think that one will stay in style about 15 minutes. Of course, that may "suit" the OP.
