Buying an item from Canada to US priced at $280 shipped by UPS, brokerage fees?

Is there a way to calculate the exact amount of the brokerage fees I would be charged by UPS?

I'm buying three items at $75 each. Would it be wise to order two in one order and the third in another order to keep both orders under $200?

UPS Standard (ground shipping) will incur brokerage fees. Most of the other UPS options (mostly air) will usually include brokerage fees in the shipping fee, so no extra shipping charges. You may be charged taxes though, if necessary.

Ask the retailer the UPS shipping method, and check against the UPS website. The problem with shipping in multiple shipments is getting dinged for multiple shipping charges of course.
