Can you tell me what country? It seems a bit high for its age, but you are getting a good (more recent) video card. What kind of software does it come with?

hey, thanks for the replies. I've decided not to buy, as it is indeed a bit costly..
the seller wouldn't let it go for under 850..
i'm now looking at another one for 700euro.
You guys think this is a better one?

Well, this one has the opposite problem. The CPU is very powerful, while the video card has been out for a while. Depending on what games you play, that may not be a problem. The good part is that when it gets too slow for your needs, a new video card will put you back in business.

The i7 2600K is a solid processor. In games it's about 16% slower than a i7 4770K @ stock speeds. You can do some overclocking to throw that off though. That R9 290X should be a solid card. I'm not really familiar with the cost of hardware in your country though. It seems like a lot of money to spend on used hardware that is about to go out of warranty for quite a few parts.

This is too much of a blanket statement for me. It all depends on what games are being played. Many games would show no diffrrence between the two.

Sorry I didn't clarify more. You would definitely need a video card that is more recent, like a GTX 970 or R9 290X to see that difference.

Prices are so damn high in belgium!

I visited 2 online belgium retailers.

Gigabyte GA-Z97P-D3 (Socket 1150-Intel Z97- ATX DDR3 VGA)
€ 82.95

Asus AMD Radeon R9 290 DirectCU II OC 4GB GDDR5
€ 299.00

Intel Core i5-4690K (3.5GHz) 6MB - 4 Cores - 4 Threads
€ 259.95

Western Digital 2TB Caviar Green SATA III 64MB IntelliPower
€ 79.95

Crucial MX100 256GB SATA III 2.5 "SSD
€ 114.95

Antec High Current Gamer 620 W
€ 89.00

Kingston 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 HyperX Red Fury

€ 71.00

Total order € 996.80

You need at least 1000 euros to get something brand new, taxes included with free shipment and no case and OS. You're gonna have to build it yourself. I've got those from www.codima.be . The i7 4790k is stupidly high priced, so it's the cheapest gtx 970. Those were ideal, but the budget...

There's no such thing a 3GB 290X. Make sure you're not being sold a 280X.

I kinda remember some shady people rebranding their video cards.

One website was flashing a videocard and then changed the heatsink to something else and would make $80-$90 profit and the people who did not research would find their video card would overheat all the time no matter the settings or what video driver they used.

If I find the URL I will paste it below.

Hello
I don't know your situation, or income, but if i were you i would try and get brand new. I've had nothing but problems buying used. (unless it's someone that you know at least a little)

I would buy a newer (brand new) cpu and motherboard/ram/power supply, and case with the money you have now, and then if you can, save up and buy a new video card in the close future. That way you know what you are getting and you will have manufacturer warranties and 30 day guarantees from retailers (hopefully)

Like i said, I don't know your situation or income, but i would suggest buying new and if you are being restricted by a budget then save up and get more pieces in the future...

Best of luck
