Hi all! Need a little advice here. Found a LG 34UM34-p on craigslist that the seller is willing to sell for $650. Checked the post out and emailed to make sure this is a legit thing. So far, so good and seller is willing to both let me see the monitor first and will provide a proof of purchase for the warranty. These go for about $750 new on sale so it seems okay for the price.

What do you guys think, $650 okay or should I just wait it out and let the ultrawides drop in price a little more?

For just $100 savings I think I'd hold out a bit to get a new one with warranty.

1440 vertical pixels helps. Also gaming on a giant ass TV is not nearly as effective in my experience.

I didn't realize we were gaming in front of millions for the top prize of some bullshit title.

Lol, if I wanted you to do that I would have posted the link , plus searching all of Texas just for this monitor, that's one heck of an egg hunt

Also, yes this is the higher resolution and not really going to be used for gaming. Mostly word documents and productivity, with the occasional game like borderlands 2 or CS:S

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this... I don't have a need for a 60 inch 1080p TV that sits 2-3 feet from my face, I already own a 1080p 23 inch monitor and this is a step up. I am also not interested in 4k monitors or any TN panels, which maybe is what you are saying by "real LCD"? Either way your offensive comments have not helped

Mayne is a perpetually-banned troll. Best to ignore him.

mayne, some people use their screens for intelligent tasks like reading, writing, programming and graphics design

unlike you, who just throws bananas and feces at the screen

in your case bigger IS better, because it is a bigger target for your bananas and feces.

Used from CL vs new, needs a BIG discount, not 10 or 20 percent. If its new and they have a valid receipt why don't they return it?

I want to say he kept it past the return date? But he states this is "like new" I think from the advice here $650 is not a deep enough discount to warrant the purchase. I have since left it be and politely told him that he would need to drop the price more for me to consider buying it.

exactly. No way that discount is worth used electronics.

Just keep an eye on the listing and see if the price drops.
