This just reminds me of that old picture of some female's in Link cosplay that accompanies the caption: What if Zelda was a girl?
That always was a great way to enrage nerds. =)
so which comics do i have to read to get the runup/backstory on this, and does marvel have some sort of online subscription where i can read archive stuff?
FTFYJust imagine if posters had to be worthy in order to post on AT...or for that matter the internet......opps no JEDIYoda..lolol
yeah,..guess what? Zelda is a girl...
That is the point though. It is showing a female version of Link, with that caption. The name of the game itself is pretty silly, as it really isn't the legend of Zelda, but the legend of Link. Zelda is just a princess forever in another castle.

Depends on how far back you want to go. The book Thor 1 that this all took part in does a good job of explaining what happened to get to this point. The thing that made Thor "unworthy" to be... Thor was in the Original Sin but the book shows that. What the exact thing that cause it all was never revealed to the readers.so which comics do i have to read to get the runup/backstory on this, and does marvel have some sort of online subscription where i can read archive stuff?

Perhaps I don't understand the myth, but I thought Thor was named Thor before he got the hammer etc. So, after losing the hammer he'll still be Thor, right?
If so, this new character shouldn't be called Thor. She should just retain her original name. E.g., 'Suzy, the (new) Thunder god'.
Yet he goes on to talk about Thor and what he'll be doing now without his hammer & powers.. and everyone else will keep calling Thor - Thor. So that leaves the question, what will the fans call this gal?Series writer Jason Aaron emphasizes, “This is not She-Thor. This is not Lady Thor. This is not Thorita. This is THOR. This is the THOR of the Marvel Universe. But it’s unlike any Thor we’ve ever seen before.”

First thought... Now I see what the complaining about her mannish shoulders is about (and why this is a variant cover rather than the main one they went with).
Second thought.. Is she 2-handed wielding a glowing blue strap-on?

Reminds me of when I watched an Olympic water polo match with a friend and we kept going back and forth about if the teams were composed of men or women. We really weren't able to settle on one or the other!
