C2D suggestions request

I was given a brand new P5B by my ex-boss. I bought that 7900GS from Woot. I just bought CoH.

I need a Conroe and some memory, but I will probably upgrade to 4 cores later. Should I buy an E6400 and slow memory, an E6600 and slow memory, or an E6400 and fast memory? The thinking process here is that I will remove the CPU and drop in a 4 core processor, but I might not have to upgrade the RAM if I just get PC6400 now.

Memory prices are inflated, but the E6600 just dropped to $320 from $370.

It's double the speed of the stuff I'm running, and I'm getting 60+ fps on most games with good loading times, I'd imagine unless you plan on doing overclocking you should be fine for a while.

Are you overclocking?

If not then just get 533. If so then 667 or 800 starts to be something other than a waste of time/money.
