My all time favorite games were the Spy vs. Spy series. Me and my little brother have spent countless hours playing those games. Beyond that, some of the early text adventures were pretty fun, but nothing beat Spy vs. Spy.
Oh man, HardBall used to be the bomb! Since I typically went for sports stuff way back when, anything from Epyx (Games, Street Sports) kept me up all night. I went through about 5 of their red & black joysticks that fit in your hand.
EPYX!!! Now that was a blast from the past. I loved their sports games. Its amazing what you haven't thought about in almost 15 years and it comes back fresh.
Oh yeah, I had forgotten about Karateka. That was a fun game. I don't think I've ever seen anything like Spy vs. Spy, which is a shame. I remember M.U.L.E. sort of. I thought it was an Atari game.
My favorite thing about my C64 is to jump online to those BBS and post. I best connection back them are 2400 baudrate.
I still have my system as we speak. The C128, 1581 3.5 floppy drive, Fastload cartridge and a commodore monitor for my gamevision.
I wait probably another 20 yrs, maybe I can get something a eb@y for this antique.
