Thank you for the quick & easy guide Talcite. The things seem obvious when you do them, but when first building, the process you outline isn't quite as evident. Sadly, I never thought about separating the 24-pin and doing it by itself, then doing each and every one separately. Seems like common sense after reading it, but the tips certainly never occurred to me. Nor did using the crevices as efficiently.

Anyway, here's my little build (no great case or anything, just an older ATX case I already had to put my new components in. Did this with only wire ties (no sticky mounts like you suggested, just didn't have any).

i've always wanted to get things much cleaner in my Antec 900. Now that i've just bought a 9800gx2.. that beast takes up so much space. With three HDD's, 1 Optical Drive, and the PSU mounted on the bottom (Corsair HX520), my case looks MESSSSSSSSSSSSSSY.

Anyone here in Toronto wanna help a poor soul out? I can pay lol. No, but seriously, i just am looking for a good solution to hide all these wires.. i haven't really used the back of the case behind the motherboard.. and i'm not comfortable with any sort of drilling or tool'ed procedures. I want to promote proper airflow and just a CLEAN look into my case, i should take some pictures of it when i have the chance, i will get some pictures of it up tomorrow for all to see.

I'm not sure if folding a SATA cable exactly in half (straight 180 degrees) is doable. If so, i guess i could start with that. But it's basically the huge 24pin cord that gets in the way over everything else. It's big, it's thick, and it's unruly.

Any advice would be appreciated. THANK YOU

One thing about that "Jay's "Opeth" Tribute" cable management is that you could still see lots of different wire colours etc....I hate that. What they should of done is get the 'spiral' plastic which wraps around all the wire leaving 1 black plastic line of cable with the various wires coming out where they connect out to the board.

I am building a new computer for my buddy for his birthday, and this will be my first real attempt at proper cable management (I always just tried to keep the air flow clear of obstuctions, and be neat, but never went into the detail that you showed in your guide). I printed out your guide, and I plan on trying out your plan. Thanks for writing it!
