Still more to do here, but without spending more money on clamps/sleeved wires/etc, I'm going to stop for now.

Damn...I wish I could get the back side of my case that "clean looking."

That is unbelievably badass. Makes me want to start modding again like I used to.
Only thing I've never tried which I'd like to try is water cooling.

Funny his box makes me want to never mod again. If I spent 8 hours a day for the next 10 years I couldn't reach that level of skill. I wish I was one of those people who got inspired by seeing the best of the best in action. But sadly it just makes me give up without even trying lol.

I'm in shock.

I'm a bit of a rational hedonist, with more of an emphasis on hedonism than rationality. I feel a bit light headed after seeing that build. I have one thought right now: Can I find someone to make me a similarly awesome case? Just wow. WOW!

Edit: 22k USD for Daniel's build. I just can't justify that sort of expenditure at the moment. God damn, though, it's so beautiful. I never thought I'd call a computer beautiful but...yeesh.

I love the light boxes and HDs a LOT.

That case makes me want to try to achieve that level of awesomeness...

I'm currently purchasing parts for my new computer and am probably going with one of the roomier, larger cases for ease of cable management. I'll attach the side panel and hide the tower away, never to set my eyes on such a monstrosity again.

If the price had been even about 1000 euros, I would have paid for it. But 18000 euros for a computer case and the setup, bah. There's something about the watercooling pipes being so linear and curvy simultaneously - it's rather sensual in a way, with the way the liquid contrasts the darkness of a room. Grr.

First things are:

1. A good case with enough room to route your cables from behind the motherboard.
2. A modular psu
3. Zip ties.

From that you can't go wrong.....

I clicked your first link and a "buy me" came up, one of those pages that tells you "you have a problem on your PC and will fix it", for a fee.

hmmm...no such thing for me.Either it's the AdBlock I'm running with Firefox, or else you have some malware.
(I'm leaning toward the AdBlock)

I feel you, but honestly unless I win the Lottery or go on a rampage at the Poker room at the casino I don't think I could ever justify 22k for a PC. But if I do come into $$$ where 22k is chump change I'm going to pay 44k to make me an even more bad ass one

Or you could get one like Daniel's minus the SSD's for probably no more than 21k (a steal)

I like your case.

Now I'm trying to find one to replace the v1020 I was really wanting (that due to crappy shipping got returned, and I'm not as huge a fan of it now), and one like yours is where I'm looking now.

This weekend I'm redoing my case to make it look better cable management wise. Thought it might help some people to see before and after pics (and if there's interest I can do a guide to the process I went through). So, here are before pics:

Wow, tremendous improvement DV especially with the dust.

Thanks!

It looks a lot better. My fingers were sore all day Saturday from it. This case is a PITA to work with due to it's small size. I actually cut into the mobo tray in 4 places (2 at top, 2 at bottom), on the back made some mods so the side panel behind the mobo isn't bowing out from the cables behind there. Unfortunately the case only has about 1/2 inch behind the mobo tray, which is not much when dealing with all the cables I had to put back there. I'm not entirely happy with the back, but unfortunately there isn't much more that I can really do with this setup. Even though I'm not entirely happy with the back side, it's a lot better.

I have a question for all you cable management experts:

I have the Rosewill Challenger case and ASRock P67 Extreme 4 mobo.

When I installed the mobo in the case, I then learned that the 8pin CPU power cable needs to run over the top of the mobo up to the upper left corner of the case. There doesn't seem to be a way to snake the cable from behind the mobo once the mobo is installed. Right now I've got it running across the topside of my Hyper 212+ just to keep it off the top of the mobo.

is this typical when you guys do builds? ie, one needs to route the 8pin cable behind the mobo and back out again up in the corner BEFORE actually screwing down the mobo? Being too lazy or not caring enough at this point, I haven't bothered to unscrew the mobo and take it out just to re-route this, but since I am a SB owner, I WILL be getting a new mobo in a couple months, so I wanted to do it "right" next time.

Any negatives to tucking the 8pin cable back there? ie once its there, it ain't coming out again?

This:

Only hides the mess behind which looks like this:

What i do is i take the messy picture and visualize where i need cables going out.
The cables i dont need gets tucked and hidden in places out of view.

The cables that need to go out are possitioned b4 i install gpu or anything, that way i can put the install the 8pin ATX cable under the GPU if the cable is too short.

However i prefer getting a extension from SVC since its cheap and sleeved, and just use those.

No one can do a perfect cable setup from start and go without stopping.
You need to visualize where u need things brought out from, b4 u can start ziptiing everything.

Yeah, with mine I basically just took a printout of the case and traced that outline onto plain white paper. Then made a few copies of it (so I had versions I could create and compare later). I drew where cables would go, and what mods I needed to do for the case to fit each.

I spent a lot of time on Hardforum and other places looking at case builds to see how others did it. After screwing around with it for a while conceptually on paper (and waiting for parts), I ripped apart my entire system and spent the next ~2 days rebuilding it from the ground up. I put a decent amount of time, work, and effort into it that could be cut down on if you just wanted it overall cleaner looking.
