I have an Antec 900 case and I'm looking for a few small ways to help tidy up my cables. I'm not so handy with tools so I'm not really looking to drill holes through the back of the case which I know is something that people do. One of the smaller things I was looking into was, these molex (?) connectors that are attached to the case fans/the power supply, are stackable meaning I can connect multiple ones together. I was afraid that this wasn't a good thing to do so I just connected one to each plug but what are your thoughts about connecting them together? How many can I safely/effectively connect together?

the antec900 kind of sucks w/ cable management, you'll have a tough time getting all your cables behind the mb and hidden away. just fyi

i dont have an antec900

One thing I've found that works decently is to tuck all of the cable in the space between the side window and the drive cages and tape them there. It looks ugly when you take it off but not so bad when you put the window on. It's a little tight but at least there's room for the air to flow.

There are different versions of the case, but on mine at least, there are some hooks on the motherboard side right behind the drive cages. You could use some zip ties to hold your 24-pin connector and other wires in place against that corner.

I modded mine by cutting a hole for the PSU wires and it turned out very nice, but honesty, it wasn't really worth it.

Depends on your power supply. Fans don't really draw that much power so if you are connecting a bunch of fans together, I wouldn't worry about it.

If you power supply is single rail, then it doesn't matter at all since everything is being powered through a single rail. For multiple rails, you'll obviously have a problem if EVERYTHING was off one rail, but that wouldn't be possible anyways since usually power for the mobo, cpu, vga, and other are already separated.

Is it pretty safe to route cables behind the motherboard? I mean right behind, not behind the tray. The majority of mine are behind the tray but a few (sata, front usb/audio) I was thinking of securing with electrical tape and putting behind if they are flat enough.

Its fine, all the cables are plastic wrapped so as long as there are no breaks in the wire you should be fine. Also just try to avoid keeping the wires away from underneath the CPU, it shouldn't get hot enough to do anything but nothing like being safe.

Also, another more handy idea is to just use a holesaw, file, and dremel to cut holes into the case for cable management.
