my house has been flagged for disconnect r/t signal leak.

they could not find the source and may disconnect us

can this be the problem (of course my son told me after the first and second tech came out!)

the charging cord to his I-phone is frayed, BUT he is running the charge cable through his playstation which is wired into the internet

I hope that it may be as simple as this!

I am new to site, definetely not a techie, not sure what you mean.
Did research on line, this seemed like the site that had the most knowledgable people.

SO.. lets be more specific.

Background:

cable company flagged house r/t leaking signal. My understandingit is a FAA concern. Cable componay has tried twice to locate the leak, cannot find. We are near airport transport line (I understand that that can be an issue, and I believe that is why they are being lenient with us, repeat visits)

If they cannot find where leak is at next visit, they will close/shut down our cable and internet service. I NEED this service - it is our land line for phone, our cable and internet. Internet is part of my income source - my son is disabled and phone service and access to community is lifeline, education, and entertainment.

What has been done:
modems and boxes (cable, TV, internet) replaced. all traceable lines tightened, end caps (?) replaced.

NEW-
my son asked for new charging unit for his I-phone. showed me his cable line and it wasd FRAYED (big time), He has this charge running from usb connections to playstation which is hooked up to the internet.

QUESTION-
(1) Can The phone charging line be the problem, ie as simple as this??

(2) can someone, with more knowledge than myself, suggest anything else it might be, or that I could do?

this is asked with all respect

I do need my cable/internet service!

Your problem is either a very, very defective microwave that's always running, or some kind of transmitter that is operating way out of spec.

A cable connection has nowhere near enough power to disrupt anything.

  1. If you're suggesting an iPhone charger is interfering, the answer is hell no.
  2. As I said: very bad microwave oven, pretty big transmitter or it's not you.
