Devistater--Is my face red...... You know, I searched Google a month or so ago trying to find their home page, and software, but it didn't occur to me to google for the cable. Um.....it's my first month to use the internet???? Ya don't buy that, huh?
Yeah, I came up with the following, and the schematic from your link. Thanks much. I'll be seeing my Father in a couple weeks, and he'll gladly cobble together something for me.....and, if it comes to it, he has the same UPS and cable, so we can break it down if we have to, but he'll have a better way to do it than that.....umm....like check the pin on one end to the pin on the other end. You know, rational kind of stuff like that. Aw, he gets it from being an engineer and pilot, I guess. Personally, I like duct tape and liquid solder.
I was gonna ask you what NUT is below, but, I googled and found it. Thanks much. You at least have me on the right track.
You have a point about the plug. Below, they mention quasi-RJ11. By memory, I could swear that it is different than RJ11, but, I'll have to check. And, I just probably "assumed" RJ45. I will have to check.
Yeah, I know about the mobile racks. I just thought it seemed like a pretty decent price, and then my Dad tells me he has a few that I can have, albeit they are only ATA/66, but I doubt it matters, as xfer speed can't hardly make that anyway. Just as long as they'll see the size of my drives. Hmmm....may not even be a factor if I'm coming off an ATA/133 PCI card?
Thanks again for your help.

I've been trying to get my new UPS working with NUT and for the
most part appear to be successful. PK Electronics (the manufacturer of
the BlackoutBuster) was kind enough to send me a wiring diagram for the
UPS and the Powermon II software (which without a manual is kind of
useless even though I've figured out a little bit about it
The cable is a four wire quasi-RJ11 the plug on the UPS end is smaller
than RJ11, while the CPU end is RJ11 with a RJ11->9pin converter.
