Calc.exe - Clear key - WHERE?

I swear I have gone through every key on the keyboard and tried googling phrases like "calc.exe hot keys" or "calc.exe clear key" and don't find any results.

I use calc.exe a lot. Instead of having a calculator next to my desk I use the num pad and do calculations on the fly. The problem is that whenever I do another calculation I have to open up a new calc.exe because I dont want to take my hands off of the keyboard (windows + R : type calc.exe)

Sometimes when I have 10 calc.exe windows up, I just take my hands off of the keyboard and use the mouse to click on the clear to clear the entire calculator and set the number to 0.

I have to assume that there is a key that does this. Anyone know?

backspace will delete individual numbers, delete clears the current number and esc clears all

I think DEL just clears the display, ESC clears the transaction.

also you can save yourself four keystrokes and just type calc in run

delete does not clear the memory, only the screen.

hit the following:

enter
delete <- youll see a zero.
enter <- youll have a 6.


the only way to clear previous transactions is ESC.
although * 0 is very effective as well.

haha, mine doesnt look like that when I press help! you are running an advanced version of calc.exe!!

Nope, standard windows XP calculator. if you dont see all the buttons, click scientific under the view menu.

Reinstall windows.

also right click the key and click "What's This?"
it will tell you the keyboard button
