To preempt some people: these are described as "wine country fires," but don't think that this means it's primarily affecting wealthy wine producers who haven't known hardship for decades. Some of the towns affected include many lower-income people who just took a huge hit and may not bounce back any time soon.

I went surfing today in OC and the whole beach smelled like wood BBQ from the fires in anaheim. It was actually kinda gross after about an hr (the air)
