It will certainly be interesting to see what Democrats make of this country once they no longer have a real threat to their power from Republicans. I don't believe there has ever been a nation where those in power so despise the nation. Will you eventually make of it something of which you can be proud, so that the American flag is no longer a symbol of shame? Subsume it into a global entity so that its uniqueness can be forgotten entirely? Break it into pieces as per Gore's "From one, many" speech, so that the pieces are too small to threaten the world?
