Newsom and Bass should resign.
So. In 2019 when the fires were raging on federal land in California you did not want trump to resign but now you want politicians to resign?
You seem a bit of a hypocrite

This is one thing I don't understand about climate change. I would think the pacific getting warmer would result in more moist air in SoCal. I actually sat next to a climate researcher of a flight once and I asked him about it, and he told me the models showed it would result in less moisture in the summer and more in the winter, but he didn't explain the mechanism to me. I believe him, I just don't understand the reason.0.16 inch of rainfall in L.A. area since April, i.e. a massive drought. Wind storm of up to or over 100 mph winds of exceedingly dry air. Not having out of control fires would seem to be virtually impossible.
There are 6 wildfires (at least) now burning in the area, probably over 25,000 acres burned, thousands of structures destroyed.
I went to bed last night knowing it would be like this today, based on what happened yesterday and the weather forecast.
oh lordy. why do I need help for stronlgy disliking members of the modern American Nazi party, who have also shown themselves to be racist and other things many times? and who have helped install an insanely evil administration which is going to hurt millions of people?
the projection of you sickos is very impressive.
Yosemite has burned through some of the same land with major fires twice in the last 15 years. Burning out ground cover does help a lot, but once a fire gets intense enough it doesn't make the difference.I disagree, considering that the chaparral that is currently burning hasn't burned in probably over half-century. Better management would reduce fuel load which would significantly reduce fire intensity when things like this happen, which isn't if but when. We could also talk about hardening structures against fires by not having vegetation right up against the structure and having attic ventilation that doesn't allow embers to enter.
I wonder how bad the interior smoke damage was.Of course ember shielding vents is useless if you don't have a defensible space around your property.
I think about 1993 when Laguna Beach suffered a catastrophic fire and one house stood out from the rest. So yes please have your so called experts say that individual property mitigation is not a factor and I will call BS.
This home survived the Laguna Beach fire of October 1993, which claimed more than 400 neighboring homes, thanks to a fire-resistant tile roof, stucco exterior, stucco-covered boxed eaves and under-decks, double-pane windows and selective landscaping

Funny I don't remember any of this talk when wildfires burned down Gatlinburg, Tenn.Re: Civility
Newsmax host at 4:17pm est, 1/9/2025. To semi paraphrase:
"Democrats are killing people"
Remind me again when it is "too soon" to be "political" after a school shooting. You lying sons of bitches.
Unexpected/seemingly strange changes to localized regions are usually caused by very large, sweeping changes in the upper layers of the atmosphere, creating dramatic shifts all over. One of the biggest examples is the breakdown of the polar vortex. Warming temperatures creates perturbations in the flow of air around the arctic, which in turn causes the air flow to change, slow down, and leak out, which in turn leads to supercooled air leaking out southward, namely into the canada/northern US, causing the extreme winter temperature shifts we've been seeing occur more and more often. This is one thing I don't understand about climate change. Yes, why didn't Newsom put in the cheat code for infinite water towers? It just takes 10 seconds in SimCity. I am so sick of the media interview random people that don't know anything instead of actually stating the facts. Like this stupid LA Times article, spent half of the text reposting quotes from a know-nothing developer trying to take political shots, instead of actually providing the facts of the situation. At least Newsom is done politically after this. But some here will still try to push him in 2028.
IMO you need help because you are consumed with hatred.
Says the person who voted to lead the country who is
1) a felon
2) committed sexual assaults
3) racists
You might not say it but voting for it shows you approve of it

Fire hydrants ran dry as Pacific Palisades burned. L.A. city officials blame 'tremendous demand'
Firefighters battling the Palisades fire dealt with hydrants that had little to no water flowing out. By 3 a.m. Wednesday, all hydrants 'went dry,' an LADWP official says.www.latimes.com
This one was well done.
This one was well done.
It's a pity that when Newsome runs in 28 no one will see it, or understand it if they do."Well Done" Indeed.
There are things money can't replace.Caruso is an asshole of tremendous proportions who is sore he badly lost the election. I'm no fan of Bass but come on. He also owns the upscale mall in Pacific Palisades.
Also lol at a person worth $6B talking like this:
“We are feeling the very personal effects of this,” he said.
You don't know who I voted for.
Whatever.
There are things money can't replace.
Interesting article about a local Reservoir for the Palisades that had been placed out of service for maintenance because of a problem with it's cover. Not great timing in having to repair the reservoir but it had to be repaired and repairing while predicted demand is low is usually the best time. From reading the article, it could have made a difference(Unsure of how much) but nobody could have predicted this event so far in advance.

I'm not voting for any dem who okay's aid to South Carolina.
Fuck the Trumpanzees.
