To me, it seems like a good idea to get Indian Casino's to pay taxes and I'd prefer that they pay the set rate, rather than negotiate with Arnold how much they should pay because he'd just use authority to get more contributions to his campaign. So, I voted YES to both 68 and 70.

Anyone against it?

I live in California but go to school in Oregon. I think that they should have to pay taxes, so definitely for it. One of the biggest problems where I live in Cali is the traffic from the Casinos being too much for the roads in the area, if they were taxed they would be able to get the money to expand the roads more easily.

Voting yes on both those propositions will ultimately bring in less tax revenue and allow the indians to build casinos anyplace they can get a permit, not just on reservations. They will also have a monopoly on slot machines. There is much more to it, but you already voted without understanding what you were voting for, so there is no point in going on.

Actually, as it stands, they can build off the reservations. They just need to come to an agreement with Arnold on how much taxes they'd pay if they did that.

Real conservatives don't join the Republican party anymore because they realize that there's not really much difference between the Dems & the Repubs.

Apparently. I've been over in the P&N forum where there are a lot of people posting from the Texas so I thought you were being serious. If I would have looked at your profile and noticed you were from CA I would have known you were being sarcastic and not assumed you werre just another stupid Texan

WTF? What the hell do Indian gaming casinos and churches have in common?

Wrong. Bunky, it's "Fund A Mental Case" and not all Christians are like those whackos. In fact most aren't.

These propositions are both cons and are opposed by the Govenator.

I think 68 will only make the indians pay 25% taxes if they agree to renegotiate their contracts. They won't renegotiate, so card clubs and other gambling ventures will be able to have casinos.

70 is equally shady. Just look at who suports these things to see if you should vote for them or not. I think 70 is supported by the indians themselves, so you know it is in their interest to get the prop passed.
