Whatever, you will keep supporting the nonsense that is killing this state. You and all the other uneducated manipulated filth are a disease on this land. I really do not care what you think nor about you. I will leave this State next year and I won't look back as the rest of you dig a bigger and bigger hole. I just hope those who had nothing to do with the collapse don't pay a dime when the state comes asking for a bailout. Or do you think all the cities filing for bankruptcy isn't foreshadowing something grander?

Like I said fuck you, you are an ignorant piece of shit that falls all over yourself thinking unions are any different than corps, Both have internalized profit motives And both exploit and manipulate children to further their cause.

yeah, this is why you are fundamentally incapable of critical thought. I never said such a thing regarding Unions. I hate Unions as much as the more vociferous among you, but I find far greater fault and problems with other entities.

Your problem is that you have an irrational fear and hatred of shit you simply do not understand. Maybe it's different teams, but the fact that I see the greater evil elsewhere says nothing more than a philosophical difference exists between the two of us.

You are angry, and are wantonly blaming strangers for nothing you have control over. take a nap, deal with the things in your personal life that are the real root of this self-hate, and get over yourself.

you are everything that is wrong with this country and this political climate. We aren't on 2 teams you douchenozzle. try to engage people in debate, rather than visceral, meaningless attacks.

Love it, not only did 30 win and 32 lose, the Dems also now have supermajority in both houses of the legislature and or course the governor. After they fuck everything up in 2 years, they'll still be blaming the republicans and arnie. Sound familiar? Oh BTW, Prop 30/38 will be the last time the fucktards ask us first for more money. Now they'll just take it, without asking nicely. Ahh, it must be nice to be a Democrat legislator in my state, free money from the unions and hookers/blow as bonuses.

The problem with your position is that you would oppose such a proposition while stating that you dislike unions as much as anyone, yet foregoing the reality that while CEO's may be unaffected by this proposition, corporations still would have been. It was equal on its face, yet you feel unequal because CEO's and business owners were still empowered.

So let's look at the difference.......

1.) CEO's, Chairman, owners, etc.....(the ones who made the money).....they uhhh......well......
MADE THE MONEY!!! (or were hired to earn it by private corporations who earned it through the sale of good & services VOLUNTARILY paid for.)

2.) Unions........uhhh........just take money from its members and.....well.....that's it. As stated before. They don't have another source of income. So maybe they should try to earn money elsewhere?? Or does that ruin the very nature of "union"?? And, then if by that very nature they should ONLY earn money based on union dues, then they shouldn't be influencing politics at all in the first place.

But just like the tax & spenders won last night acrossed the board.......it's a hard thing to explain to non conservatives. They have their view/opinion and debate usually won't convince them otherwise. So we'll wait until the unions & Sacto have literally tanked the state, it ends up going bankrupt and we either get to re-write union contracts that exist and correct the REAL problem. Or the feds bail us out at which point I'll stand on a mountain top somewhere around the Sierra's and yell to the other 49 states........."Hey, guess what. Now YOU get to bail us out!!"

Just take the loss like a man. Raging like this is just going to want to make people say "don't let the door hit you on the way out" and only makes you look small and bitter.

I'm sorry that the Republican party in CA is in shambles but many of the wounds are self inflicted as you guys keep nominating far right candidates. Democrats keep putting up pretty mediocre candidates, but generic D beats libertarian R any day in CA except in the conservative districts.

Are you mf'in kidding me? The 'Republican' candidates here would easily pass for blue dog dems pretty much everywhere else. This state just has too many voters now who will vote for anything that has the magical 'D' in front of their name. The voters in places like SF would gleefully vote for a convicted child-molester Janitor Democrat over a rich Republican successful business man. Now that the Dems own this place, I'm looking forward to see what they're going to do with Union contracts as more cities go bankrupt as this state is doing nothing to attract more businesses other than 'crony capitalism' green companies that go bankrupt in 5 years despite taxpayer support.

lol, you guys put right wing Simon against Gray Davis in 2002 and Simon still got crushed. Of course, wanting a do over, you guys get Davis recalled a year later and put a moderate R in (Arnold) up and of course he crushed both Davis and Bustamante. Since Arnold pissed you guys off a few times over the years, you call consider him a RINO.

I dont know where you work, but in every company I have been employed at if the workers did nothing the owners/management wouldnt earn anything.

So they are just as dependent on their workers as unions are.

And this was a blatant anti-union proposition which had nothing to do with CA's finances.

When Brown has shown more cajones to go toe-to-toe with the legislature (which isn't saying much as he gave into most, but not all of their demands), whilst Arnie initially showed some promise but afterwards even raised taxes higher than Brown. To top it off Arnie pardons an a$$hole DEMOCRAT's Assembly leaders murderous son in his 11th hour.
Arnold was a complete failure. He's like a 'mini-Bush' on how much he damaged the Republican name in CA.

PS You didn't think Meg Whitman wasn't a moderate? We all know how well she did against our recycled governor.

Well one good thing about this mess is the fact that this state is now in sole hands of Democrats. So basically it will serve as a warning and make for interesting case study exactly what happens when you create a welfare state and attempt to soak those who pay the majority of taxes with even higher tax rates and regulations.

however the truly wealthy will buy their exemptions or move out of state and everyone else will get soaked with more taxes and regulations. Especially as Dems hold a supermajority in the state legislature and can pass any take hike they want along with any phony budget plan their crooked hearts desire. Hell they also have the benefit of holding school funding hostage if the populace rebels.

In addition businesses who cannot lobby government for exemptions will go under or raise the prices for their goods and services. This pretty much means the cost of living will increase while the standard of living suffers for everyone in the state who is not either uber rich or a ward of the welfare state in California. Those businesses who cannot afford to pass on the costs will no doubt go out of business or relocate out of state permanently which means more lost jobs for the private sector in the state.

Essentially what we'll have in this state is mainly only large mega corporations who can buy political influence and exemptions along with extremely wealthy and politically connected ruling class who exist only manipulating and herding the welfare recipients who dominate the state itself to vote for them and their agendas.

Everyone else in between is going to get fucked royally and sadly there will be no relief for the middle-class, especially homeowners who will see prop 13 revoked and then they well be slowly taxed out of their homes as they reach old age. Homeownership will be a thing of the past unless you are wealthy because living as section 8 housing doesn't count.

Not at all. California is pro-choice and mostly immigration friendly because of the huge Latino population. Whitman was pro-life and tacked to the right pretty hard on immigration. Had she been pro-choice and at least softened her stance on immigration, she probably would be the governor right now. She may have been pretty moderate on economic issues, but you can't cast off the Latino population like she did and CA has a knee jerk reaction against pro-life candidates.

Arnold pretty much pissed off everyone, was pro-choice, and obviously pro-latina. Gov. Moonbeam is also a bit to the center of most Democrats.

Missing my point entirely, you just proved that you can't fix brainwashed.

Like I said before. I'll just wait until this place goes bankrupt and at that point, judges will open the books on all union contracts, advise union members they are now entitled to 25% of their original pensions (fair enough as the pensions weren't their fault to begin with they were....wait for it......NEGOTIATED BY THE UNIONS) and the new contracts will need to be approved by the courts at which point unions will literally have been chopped at the knees and the public agencies of this state brought back to a level playing field.
