Yes. It's metric, right?Tahoe gets shit-tons of snow every season. You can get 3 or more feet over some weekends, alone.
Shit-tons is a scientific term.

Stop me if you've heard this one. A giant redwood walks into a bar with a 12" salami under one branch and poodle under the other...
I read it on a plaque at Balch Park. Also, here:Who told you that? Sequoias are redwoods - a very popular high-end lumber.
The reason we still have them is because the national parks were established to protect them because logging towns for redwoods were becoming a large threat.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneer_Cabin_TreeThe Pioneer Cabin Tree, a giant sequoia in Calaveras Big Trees State Park that was tunneled through in the 1880s, has fallen due to severe winter weather. It was believed to be hundreds of years old.
The Pioneer Cabin Tree, also known as The Tunnel Tree, was a giant sequoia in Calaveras Big Trees State Park. It is considered one of the US's most famous trees.[4] It measured 33 feet (10 m) in diameter, however its exact age and height were not known.[A][6][7] It was estimated to be over 1,000 years old.[4]
"It's unclear exactly how old the tree was, but The Los Angeles Times reports that the trees in the state park are estimated to be more than 1,000 years old. Sequoias can live for more than 3,000 years. The iconic tree was one of just a few tunneled-through sequoias in California. The most famous was the Wawona Tree, in Yosemite National Park; it fell during a winter storm in 1969 at an estimated age of 2,100 years. The other remaining sequoia tunnels are dead or consist of logs on their side, the Forest Service says."[1][16]
"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?" is a philosophical thought experiment that raises questions regarding observation and knowledge of reality.
It was termites....due to severe winter weather
You are right... we need to MAKE TREES GREAT AGAIN!Sounds like a bad Omen to me!
