Well, i've played through the first mini-mission thingy and...well..../drool

I'll save my comments for a mini-review, but let me just say that the controls are butter smooth, the graphics are GORGEOUS, and the action is very intense.

Here are some COMPRESSED pictures of the first mission/tutorial running at: 1920x1200 4xAF, Everything on the highest setting possible

i just got the game, and the performance is the same, horrible.. im getting about 25-40 FPS.. im running 1280x1024, AA 4x, no shadows, no dynamic light .. i try turning down the settings, but i still get the same performance.. anyone know why?

EDIT: And yes, #10 is a live shot of that building blowing up And yes, #11 is just about the best model/human textures I've ever seen.

Explosions with fire, man, give me the fire!!! </crackaddict> Very realistic heh... smoke and debris clouds everything during an explosion.... You're right about the face modeling, you can tell they're Russian without even looking at their uniforms...

Hmm, my first impressions is that it isnt as fun as CODUO when i first started playing. Maybe i need to play more.
I didnt notice but is there still artillery?

I agree. It doesn't start off with the traditional COD "WOW" factor...but it definatly gets much better much quicker

I never understood the preorder mail it to me thing. I just wait till the day of release and go pick it up. That way i dont have to wait for days.


I just played again for a bit and its pretty fun, id like to find a map that has tanks, maybe it was just the servers i was in. Is artillery in the game anymore? I miss it.

 

There is a few things that a patch can fix or even an add on like UO. Great graphics!

But, FFS, where the hell is the arty and the use of tanks (doesnt seem like there is alot of use with them, i havent even driven a tank yet) like last cod?

We'll have our clan server up by the time I get home from work. We are a tactical guild which means a lot of S&D and a lot of rules. No bunny hopping, 'nade spam, worming, general retardery, weapon limits, etc. I'll post the IP when I get home.

Uhhgg, no tanks or jeeps in MP. The new 81.87 beta drivers for nvidia should make the game better, i dunno till i get home from work.

I'd buy this game for MP alone considering no jeeps and tanks. I would buy it if my video card was faster!

9800np/3000+/1gb ram and the demo ran like molasses. Can anyone verify that the performance is the same with the retail version?

Why do I always get the short end of the stick? I preordered FEAR, Quake4, and CoD2 at bestbuy. The only thing that arrived on time was fear..... last time I preorder from bestbuy, they don't get sh!t on time. Does amazon.com get it to you the day it's released? Or is that when it's shipped?
