I'm always rushing, too - CTF and HQ - but LW is overrated. It doesn't add that much extra speed. Take Ghost Pro on the other hand - if someone gets a gunner up in the air in an objective gametype, it's game over.

Maybe after I'm 15th prestige and really, really bored I'll get ghost pro. Ghost is what is overrated.

Sounds like something someone who never uses ghost would say. I actually did a footrace with a bud, he was using lightweight w/marathon pro, i was using ghost w/marathon pro. The amount he beat me by was absolutely insignificant. LW is about the worst perk there is, but by all means use it, because I actually hate it when the other team uses ghost.

In objective gametypes, you have so many people running Scavenger and Lightweight like you that Ghost isn't overrated at all, because you're all susceptible to Spy Planes. The fact is, because guys like you think Ghost is overrated and thus don't run it, it's highly valuable, as is Spy Plane. Lightweight increases your running speed by a whopping 10%. To give you an idea of how insignificant that is, it's essentially the difference between someone running around with an Assault Rifle vs. an SMG.

And don't even get me started on what happens when someone gets a gunner in the air (which, in objective gametypes is quite frequent). It's usually game over if the other team isn't running Ghost Pro. If they are, then chances are that gunner lasts about 5 seconds before it's shot down.

I would also add that Tactical Insertion (an often forgotten option in the equipment #3 slot) is a fine substitute for Lightweight (in objective games). It won't help you return the flag any quicker, but then again, I can honestly say I've never had anyone catch up from behind and shoot me while I was trying to get back with the flag. Marathon Pro is plenty, especially when killstreaks in the sky are a total non-threat. I can keep an entire team off an HQ point with a well-placed TI and a noob tube.

Lets have a shitting match over what perks are best. Honestly, who the fuck cares, use what you use.

I'd love to use Ghost Pro if I could only find a sentry gun...

Ghost is overrated and I will explain again like I did before. SAM turrets and counter-spy planes give your whole team ghost and the counter-spy planes even remove the need for suppressors. Ghost might be appropriate in non-spawning game modes, but otherwise it is a terrible choice.

Lightweight with an SMG gives me the obvious advantage of being incredibly fast. Think about how you can use that to your advantage.

even with your ghost argument lightweight is still inferior to Hardline - getting your counter Spy plane/sam turret faster, flack jacket, not dieing to claymores/nades/ napalm (if pro) and scavenger, never running out of bullets or nades

yeah but then you have to waste a KS on a SAM turret. And you act like you're guaranteed to have a SAM turret up the whole time. They are usually taken out in a minute or two whenever I play. I only play TDM though so maybe it's easier to keep them around in domination.

I love when the runners go BOOM right into my claymore. It's lovely. FJ Pro ftw..

Hmm, no. Going to disagree. Ghost or hardline are the 2 best perks in slot 1.
SAM turrets are very unlikely to sit for very long.

Also, I MUCH prefer to leave enemy spy planes in the air while i'm running ghost pro. The enemy gets a bit of confidence when they don't see a red dot on their map near them. I will shoot down CS planes, though.

God dammit, don't tell people about this! Argh ... I've never once mentioned it because I like it when people waste their claymores.

lol, you have to know how/where to plant 'em. Sure, I don't get 'em everytime....but I get alot of claymore kills
