Well in this case I was playing with a full squad, if I had been playing with random people no way would it be this high. Has been mostly TDM with some HQ, Domination, Demolition thrown in. With a decent enough squad you can walk all over randoms all day long.

What I hate is when the game throws me in against buc. I don't realize it until I've killed him at least 3 times, and then I realize that it's inevitable that I'll lose and just keep targeting him. It's funny to join their party and keep talking trash until they realize who you are, hah.

Next time just invite me dude ;P

If there's one thing I hope for MW3, its that they get rid of killstreaks. Theyre really what end up spoiling every game in the end. There still should be UAVs, helicopters and all, but I don't think they should be doled out strictly on the basis of killstreaks. Something more like what homefront did, where a steady positive benefit to your team such as capping a flag gets you a bonus, not just how long you can stay camped in a corner without dying. In either case I hope the new IW isn't so arrogant not to learn from BO. I can see BO being fun and playable for many years to come. Unfortunately, MW1 and MW2 are pretty much dead.

I agree sort of, it is one of the reasons why I play on Pure only. I can not stand the concept that you are dominating a game and thus get even MORE of a perk. If anything, the losers should get some free bonuses to even out the game (sort of like mario kart... the kart in the lead gets a crappy box whereas the karts in the back get better boxes).

I still play Black Ops almost every day. It has definitely been one of my longest lasting console games, probably even passing Gears 2...

Haha I do sometimes notice that it sticks you in the game. If you kill me a few times in a row I'll start to notice your name otherwise I won't pay much attention to who I killed. A lot of times we have a fully party but if not I'll get u in there just so you will leave me alone haha. Why you got to target me?!

I imagine an interesting system would be one like street fighter IVs. Rather than just kilkstreaks that increase in power the more you camp, you'd have a meter with levels. You can either use lesser abilities more often, or save up for something bigger. This meter could be filled up via kills, captures, defends, etc. It could also fill up slightly faster if your team is behind, etc. It definitely shouldnt just reset tonzero upon a single death. There's a lot of interesting things they could do, killstreaks is just such a poor way to do it.

The system should promote proper play in whatever mode - killstreaks makes some sense in TDM so that could be given a bonus, to a point. But capturing or defending a flag is far more important in domination, and often requires sacrifice. Killstreaks not only don't promote proper domination play, but they actively work against it. Those who consistently play well and for the team should be rewarded. Yeah, yeah, I know campers who farm killstreaks help the team in the end. But they shouldn't have to play like that in order to contribute.

So far I dig the new maps, convoy and zoo being my favorites. I have to say, I find that the DLC maps are generally a higher quality and more distinctive and appealing than the stock maps. I still struggle to think of a stock map I actually like other than nuketown.

Love all the new maps, if i had to choose though I'd say my favorite is Zoo and least favorite is convoy.

I like the new maps, but I feel like I should wait a week till all these pussy campers learn the maps so everyone's not hiding in corners the entire match. My score per minute over the past month has been around 330+, and since the new maps has been about 220, because the games are soooooo sloooooooow.

Yes, I don't care about my record so I was out exploring. Eventually I would be sniped/killed by a camper. Zoo seemed like a sniper paradise with all of the ramps/stairs leading to ledges... which means Zoo is my most hated, even more so than Array.

Zoo is the most visually interesting, but it's the most cluttered. Still, other than that monorail in the back and the mountain in the middle, there's not a lot of campy spots, it's mostly all on ground level, and it's not wide open like array. I wouldn't really call it a sniper map, since those high spots don't overlook much of anything.

I like convoy because it has a clear, symmetric theme to it. You can get into some really fun fights across those overpasses, but there's plenty of opportunity to flank.

Stockpile is my least favorite, with that building in the middle. It reminds me of that CS map where you can get in through the garage or the vent, but inevitably the first one through gets shot from a random direction. it just seems too chaotic in there.

Hotel is fun - the inside of the hotels are great for close quarters battles, but opens up a little in the middle. Great domination matches.

The one thing they have in common is that they're all large, sprawling maps, with twists and turns everywhere, like most of the BO maps. You would think nuketowns popularity would give them a hint that a lot of people dig the small, symmetric little arenas. Unfortunately, none of that here.

I don't really like these new maps. None of them, aside from Zoo, are visually pleasing or have any type of interesting theme. I liked all of the first strike maps.. not really feeling these ones right now.

I noticed that too. It took FOREVER to find enemies. It reminds me of playing on Sandtrap in Halo 3 with fewer players... painful.

The new maps are too big. I'd estimate 3 out of 5 games are going a full 10 minutes before 7500 is reached. Fucking annoying.

Agreed... these new maps are too big and ugly. Gonna wait for opinions before I jump on any other map packs in the future.

On a side note, I was playing with randoms last night b/c my buddies were playing the zombie mode. Had a game where I went 48-6 with 3 caps/5 defends, and we lost. I ended up with 600 more points than the top guy on the other team. WTF?? Teammates were nothing, but fodders. If you're going to die, at least die for flag caps.

Well, after much quality time spent with the new maps, I give them a meh. Stockpile and Zoo are pretty fun, but nothing special. Hotel is fine also, neutral in my book.

I despise Convoy. Too much camping, long distance picks, and people roaming & flanking. There's no one single tactic to defend against.

I did come up against an interesting tactic though. To keep people off the bridge, just lay down some crossbolt bolts, especially at the beginning of the map when everyone's rushing for the overlook.

On another note, I got dumped into an FFA match on Berlin Wall. I really didn't want to do FFA there, due to it being so huge and the inevitable super-campers. To make it passable, I for about the first time put on my AA/ghost class for the entire match. Wow, talk about easy mode. Ghost+Ninja+silenced weapon = redonkulous.

And I learned that first hand in a Domination match on Array, where this one guy with the same class would camp B and show up out of nowhere to clear out our team when trying to get B.

As a result, we won that match 200/197. Yikes.

thats pretty much now 90% of my dom games go when i just play with randoms, its pretty fing sad. my best (worse) was one day i went 55-3 on a ground war dom with 8 caps and 11 defends and we still lost

At first I thought the theater mode was just an afterthought in Blops, the more I see of it though it's better developed than Halo's replay function.

Possible, I know they must have tweaked the g11 at some point. That used to be the most deadly gun in the game.
