Granted, they pay there developers a ton of money, but once the game is produced, they produce each disc for pennies. Not to mention map packs. They already make a killing off of games, there is no way in hell I'd pay $100 for a game. I have a hard time paying $60 for them as is!

Most games I wait until they're under $20 used, especially single player only. The value just isnt there unless its something incredible like portal 2. For cod, I usually go out of my way to pay $80 just to get it a few days early.

The value proposition is just ridiculous - a super polished product with a great 5 hour campaign without filler that's worth playing through at least twice, a solid coop component, and hundreds of hours of MP fun.

It's easy to say each disc is pennies but it's not like theyre cutting corners on the production of the game.

Not trying to say they do cut corners on the production of the game, but it's all about volume. In Dec of 2010, Black Ops hit $1,000,000,000 in sales in its first 6 weeks of being on sale. In it's first day of sales, it sold over 6,000,000 copies ($360,000,000 divided by $60). If they started charging more for the games, I'd start making jokes about them being like the oil companies haha

I'm really liking the variety of maps in this release. Also a double XP weekend is confirmed for weekend of July 1st. In the promo video he says it will be available on Xbox live on June 28th, no mention of PS3 or PC.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. They must have contracted a group of fucking retards to code the matchmaking. I'm not talking about connection issues, I'm talking about how sometimes it makes the worst teams. I just played a match where my team was all 1st or 2nd prestiges against a team of 10+ prestiges. Of course we got raped. This was in mercenary moshpit btw.

Nerfed the Famas in next update. Srsly. Changes: Tweaks on ADS raise time; Hip fire accuracy reduction; more gun kick (so less accurate) and slightly slower re-center speed. Not changed: Fire rate, damage, range, or magazine size.

About damn time, but it probably would have been easier to just lower the damage. Sounds like its going to be pretty useless now.

I don't think it will be useless, plus the Aug was so similar to the Famas anyway there will always be that.

But yes, I am happy as well. The Famas really does kill quickly compared to other guns and has an advantage in a playing field of mostly identical AR's.

I wish I can stop playing this game, but I can't. It's fun and redeeming when you're destroying the other team, but the performance issues i'm having are driving me crazy. Even after I reinstalled windows and drivers, I still can't get good frame rates through half the maps with a PhenII 2.8 GHz and a 6950 ATI.

I also hate treyarch. They try to make the game different from IW by changing every fundamental animation mechanic and gun control in the game. I hate the flinching, I hate the random recoil on a few of the guns, and most of all, I hate the sloppy and glitchy movement of the characters. It almost seems like the characters when running are missing a few animation frames, as if they're moving through time and space in mini-black holes. Treyarch tries to change mechanics that were really not built into the engine very well. They did the same thing in W@W when you can only kill someone when they are standing still or moving in a straight path in your line of sight. I'm so sick of chasing down camping pussies who run away every time you get 80% of their health and then one of their team mates blows you down while you're too busy trying to chase them. Of course, my style of game play does not always work and I understand that shit is going to happen, but it seems like I'm always at a disadvantage when I'm up against a bunch of camp noobs fighting for that .5 -.6 ratio.

Sounds like your issues spawn from playing on PC. I have none of these performance or "sloppy and glitchy movement" issues you describe.

Wow, this makes the AK an even more dominant gun along with the Galil. Hooray for me!!

I still love the M16, but can't use it in the smaller CQB maps.

I'm sure the aug will be the new favorite. The thing that made it special was it's ROF and killing speed, while maintaining accuracy. The aug was always pretty much the same thing, and it doesn't seem like they're nerfing that any.

Yeah, the Aug really wasn't any different. It actually has a slightly better recoil profile, though a slightly lower center speed and slightly higher raise/drop times. Sad.

I wish there was an option to report someone for dashboarding. It's not really cheating or boosting but it pisses me off.

I got the 360 version of this game and I like it. I'm definitely not up to speed with the majority of the other players. It doesn't help that I played about 12 years of other fps games (i.e. Quake) with keyboard/mouse, and very little console gaming in that time span.

So far I've worked up to level 13. Any tips on the best primary secondary weapons for this level range and any other gear/perks? I'm sure someone's talked about it previously but it's hard to sort through 3600+ posts...

5/6 of my custom classes have ghost pro/sleight of hand pro/hacker pro

my capture the flag class is lightweight/sleight of hand/marathon and it's pretty effective

As for guns, it pretty much comes down to personal preference, although the Galil, Commando, Famas, and AUG are generally considered the best assault rifles, and the AK47u is considered the best SMG.

This prestige I used the Galil most of the time, only using the others for a change every now and then. I'm at lvl 44 right now and using the Commando, and it's really good.

I wish there was an option to report someone for dashboarding. It's not really cheating or boosting but it pisses me off.
You can submit a player review via their XBL profile. Select "Avoid this Player" and "Quits Early" is an option. Then you will be unlikely to be matched to him at least. I do this with douchecanoes and dumbasses in the pub lobbies.

So, who is getting the new map pack? Comes out on Tuesday!

Does it annoy anyone else when Domination players don't really seem to understand objective based games? I play almost entirely Domination and another player will see me capturing a flag, with radar showing no enemies in the area, and they'll run right past me, going who knows where. Or they'll be 5th or 6th place with 0 captures, 0 defends, and either a 1:1 K/D or slightly worse in either direction. If they want to play Deathmatch, why not play in that lobby instead?

I am liking the new maps so far. I've played the most on Drive In and it's pretty straight forward; reminds me a lot of Carnival. I got a five man nade when they all crowded in the projector room

Hazard is okay, good combinations of close quarters and distance combat. There are a relatively limited number of camping spots, so you generally know where to find people.

I only played Silo once and meh. It is quite a lot like Quarry IMO and has a ton of background noise. Add in the strange layout (huge map with few long sight lines) and I'm not a fan as of yet.

Hangar is okay. Lots of flanking routes, a couple good oversight points, and the hangar itself can get fierce.

This is all on TDM. I will give Domination a go soon as well.
