Why the PS3 is actually capable of finding any mods applied to controllers/peripherals? (That's why you don't see(or see very few) turbo controllers on the PS3)

Gamestop got robbed and they stole 100 copies of BO

Handgun-wielding robbers who burst into a video-game store in Harford County over the weekend made off with more than just cash. They also stole more than 100 copies of the highly anticipated "Call of Duty: Black Ops," which won't go on sale until Tuesday.

At least two men were involved in the robbery, timing it for when the GameStop in the Festival at Bel Air shopping center on Bel Air South Parkway was about to close on Saturday night, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said Sunday. The men, armed with semi-automatic guns, stole four cases full of "Black Ops" — the newest game in the popular "Call of Duty" series — as well as cash and game systems. Police arrived on the scene around 9:20 p.m.

It was the second armed robbery of a Harford County GameStop store in less than three weeks. The sheriff's office said the men might also be responsible for the other incident, at the GameStop's Aberdeen location on Oct. 21.

While the robbery at the Bel Air store was under way on Saturday, two customers stopped by and were forced into a storage area at gunpoint. Neither they nor store employees were hurt, the sheriff's office said.

The "Black Ops" games stolen Saturday night had been set aside for sale on Tuesday, said Monica Worrell, a spokeswoman for the sheriff's office. Fans across the country have pre-ordered copies to avoid missing out.

" 'Call of Duty: Black Ops' isn't out there 'til Tuesday, so anybody that has it today or tomorrow shouldn't have it," Worrell said Sunday, asking residents to call the sheriff's office if they're offered copies before the release date.

The game — rated "mature" for intense violence, strong language and "blood and gore" — can be pre-ordered from retailers for about $60. It's a first-person shooter in which gamers play from the perspective of several characters, including a member of two secretive CIA squads. An Associated Press article about the game noted that developers tried to make it feel like "an epic interactive action flick."

The robbers who stole the game from the Bel Air GameStop fled in a late-model white minivan, police said, possibly a Dodge Caravan. A late-model white minivan was also seen at the time of the Aberdeen robbery.

A GameStop manager referred press inquiries to a corporate spokeswoman, who did not return a message seeking comment Sunday.

I got one in a care package. It's actually pretty useful as you can just tuck it in a corner and shoots everything out of the sky for a while. It's not like a sentry where you have to put it in the thick of things for it to be useful.

I really don't like the Uzi. Way too much recoil. I alao dont particularly like the enfield - fire rate too slow, recoil too high. Forget about shotguns, they're still useless at anything but super close range. Sniper rifles are also completely useless IMO.

The famas is a very good weapon - fast fire rate, controllable recoil. Same for aug. The m14 is also deadly if you can deal with semi auto. The ak74 is a good all around smg choice, but the pm63 is my personal favorite for running around with. The freebie HK LMG is my fav, it's the most accurate. Rpk is good but recoil is serious.

Buncha PS3 losers...

Request for you folk who have already delved into MP: since we've got limited funds at our disposal early on, what are some of the better "all around" weapon choices you've seen thus far? Anything drastically underpowered that I'm going to regret purchasing?

I really like the MP5k, but once you silence it, you have a bit of a pea shooter. At close range, it's deadly. It's deadly in short bursts at medium range, too, until you silence it.

I also really like the Engfield. Great gun, but needs to be fired in short bursts. If it weren't for the hit you take on mobility with an AR, I'd use this exclusively.

The M14 is going to make a GREAT AR/sniper combo. It's iron sights are pretty bad, but once you slap a red dot on it, you're good to go. All of the pistols are pretty serviceable, and they really "pop". Like we keep saying, the sound in this game is unmatched. The HK LMG, like BD said, is pretty good. Also agree with him on the shotties - pretty ineffective unless you're really up close. One-shot kills from 20 yards away in MW2 got old, so this is a very welcome change in my book. Now if you get blasted up close, you're dead - plain and simple.

That map actually is about the size of Rust / Shipment, but it's actually playable. Sure it's chaos, but you have several buildings that add several elements of strategy. Whoever controls those buildings wins, so even a game of TDM on that map turns into a game of map control. It's a lot of fun (says a guy who HATED Rust and Shipment).

What are the "freebie" weapons in each class? Have you tried the Commando yet?

Well, he did say AK-74 but in real life you are correct, it's an assault rifle. But in-game it is counted as a submachine gun.

5.45x39 is a carbine round (which would make it an AR), but for the sake of the game it's counted as an SMG.

I for one an SO glad they put a wood/metal AK-47 in the game, the plastic crap version from MW2 was boring!!!

IIRC the freebies are the m16, enfield, mp5k, olmypia, dragunov, HK63, asp, m1911, makarov, and the law. You also get frag and smoke, but no equipment. Freebie perks are lightweight, hardened, tac mask.

How does the Mp5k feel? I wish they would have just put in the regular MP5, i loved it so much better than any other SGM, specially in SOCOM.

That's the Galil. It's decent, and seems powerful, but something about it doesn't feel right. Maybe it's too much recoil or spread, all I know is I do much better with the famas or aug.
