I caved and ordered it from amazon tonight, I saw they still had release day delivery and a $20 bonus and had to. The good thing about COD games is that they barely depreciate in value.

Just walked by my local Gamestop... about 15ppl waiting outside already and it's only 8:30pm here.

I stopped by the closest gamestop to me (30 miles) and asked the clerk "Whats the perk to preordering Black Ops? His reply, "You actually will get a copy. We have 450 pre orders from this store". This coming from a town of 20,000 people I thought was pretty impressive.
True or not, I bought the line. But I won't be up at midnight to go get it,.. tomorrow afternoon is okay for me.

Breaking news: A 12 year old has been robbed by unidentified man said to be in his 30s and wearing a hoodie and jeans while the child was leaving a local gamestop with his mother during the midnight release party for the highly anticipated "Call of Duty: Black Ops"

The Pinellas country sheriff department is currently investigating the crime. The Gamestop at which the incident occur replaced the child's copy of the game and he headed back home to get ready for another day of school, or so said his mother said.

Probably over 100 here right now for the launch, with more showing up every minute. Not a bad showing, larger than MW2 that I can remember.

I'm going to say that this feels and plays just like mw1(the mp mode at least). The mp5k is as deadly as ever, and the best overall gun in the game..imo...right now. Only at level 7 right now though. Gonna go play campaign now, and will be back on mp tomorrow all day!!!

Good game, but I can't say that it's better than mw2 right now. Keep in mind though, I'm a big fan of mw2.
