Yep, that's a pretty good way to describe it. MW2 really upped the pace from COD4; BO takes the pace back to COD4/W@W. I see a lot of people trying to play at MW2's pace and they're getting murdered.

What's really surprised me so far is how little camping there is. God... remember the first month or two of MW2? People were camping their ASSES OFF - partly because they didn't know the maps and partly because, well, it worked. That's not happening with BO. The maps aren't as contrived as MW2's, so between that and the de-emphasis on killstreaks, we're back to a First Person Shooter

It doesn't look as good...but then again, i haven't played MW2 in a while...that might be why, the graphics are still pretty good though.

I've played Nuketown twice now, and you guys are crazy....this map is awesome (for 5on5 TDM anyway).

Having a shitload of problems keeping a party together on the 360 right now. We keep randomly getting kicked when trying to start matchmaking. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

FPS definitely not feeling like 60 ATM, i feel like i'm playing crysis in uber ultra high at times. 5 bars across on ping.

I dont have the game yet, but I think those set up things are for overscan (and brightness). You should be able to reset it from options. You may even be able to manually adjust size/position.

They do that so that important crap isn't off the screen if your set has too much overscan.

where the heck is the right arrow at? this makes zero sense. if i push the left/right on the d-pad it pulls both sides in finally revealing the right arrow but i can't get it square. sigh.

Thats why you gotta group up with AT guys. But whatever you do, don't join Kabob when he's playing with his AVS guys... those guys are freaking crazy.

Actually there are some really good AVSers over there. When grouped up we play as a team and quite often we would run roughshot over the other team. However we have had our a$$e$ kicked plenty of times too.

LMAO no they're not... not even close. Maybe they just feel larger because you don't know them, but most are about 0.75x - 1.25x the size of Highrise (not quite as rectangular, but more square).

Yeah, I think that's an issue with your tv, not the game. As far as I can tell, you can't shift it left or right, only widen it. Are you using a plasma by any chance?

Check it this way...when you ads, is the sight absolutely dead center? Measure it if you have to. The safe zone thing only moves the HUD. If it's not absolutely dead center, it's DEF your tv.

turns out the game looks better when forced to 720p by the PS3, the reason the graphics looked a bit choppy was because it was @ 1080p

Are you high? The majority of the BO's maps are pretty tight. And yes, they're around the size of Highrise, give or take. I'm counting the two end-buildings on that map, mind you, but the area is about the same.

But saying that these maps are "way larger" than maps like Quarry, Showdown, Underpass, Afghan etc., is laughable. They're more like (and on the smaller side of) Highrise, Crash, Vacant, Bailout, and Strike. Scrapyard is also a pretty good comparison. The size of these maps is ideal in my book. You're 5 - 10 steps from the action when you spawn, but you don't get spawned into the shit of it all.

This is a finely-tuned Call of Duty 4. Kickass.

Framerate is top-notch for me, as are the graphics. Maybe his PS3 isn't all he thinks it is

Now in all honesty, the weapons aren't as polished as MW2's were, but I'm rarely staring at my gun in a fight. The maps are excellent, as is the framerate.
