I used to get that when my NAT wasn't fully open. Check on your router settings.

Just picked the game up. Futureshop was sold out, and I was heading to EB where they were probably sold out as well when I decided to drop in the Zellers just in case. They had a few copies left, I guess nobody thinks to go there.

I'm used to living in the small town where I grew up and never having a problem finding a game on release day. They always had too many at Walmart.

Odd since it's built around MW and plays exactly like MW.

I'm loving it. Really the only downside I've had so far is the fact that I have to leave the lobby every few games to look at unlocks.

Enjoying the FAMAS right now, but also like using a trusty shotgun on some of the maps. Learning the maps quickly and pulling my initially poor K/D ratio out of the gutter. Didn't take long to get the hardline challenge of 7 kills without dying, though I did already change up my killstreaks by then so didn't have the attack chopper. I am using the spy plane, SAM, and care package. The SAM has actually been nice, taking down spy planes without me needing to do anything. I'm going to have a hard time justifying changing my SAM and care package killstreaks EVER, but eventually I will swap out the spy plane one. Just not sure which to go for next, probably attack chopper though.

I like it, but the issues I've seen with leaderboards and getting a party to go into matchmaking are annoying. To me though, it really feels like a refined MW2, mostly more of the same, just a little slower and hopefully what will turn out to be a more balanced game.

Kabob, thanks for the invite earlier, I joined up because I thought the two friends I was playing with were done at the time, but they weren't so I joined back up with them.

We must have gone 10-1 or so. Its amazing what team work will do for you. Ok, I've eaten. Time to get back into the game.... wonder if Kabob's still playing?!


Oh btw, does anyone know the online site that's supposed to keep the detailed stats. And does anyone know if they are going to do a stat wipe or what the deal is with all the jacked up stats? That's one of the things I was most excited about for this game, so to see it all messed up is a bit disconcerting.

It's not just me though, all my friends (6 of us) who played MW2 as a party all hate it as well. Feels too different.

feels massively different then the last FPS i played (HALO) and i don't hate it

Without getting too technical, that slider is gamma, not brightness. I'm not surprised you can still see it, that's the sign you have a good tv with good shadow detail. Just leave it on default and take the brightness down a step or two on your set.

the campaign does feel like W@W as in, the ai sucks and they just throw a ton of enemies at you. Endless waves.

Can't please everybody... people cry foul when not enough is changed every year and then people whine when it's too different. I for one think it's pretty fun. MW2 was too fast and I found it less fun than COD4. I skipped W@W, but think this is the pace I enjoy. The maps aren't as good, but I still like the few I've seen.

I understand, it's not the things they changed, it's the 'feel' of the game. One of those things you can't put your finger on. Odd though, I think BO is too fast, but that could be because I haven't played MW2 in months.

I think it feels just like CoD4, W@W and MW2. It's call of duty with different maps, different perks, different customization and different weapons. But its still the same damn game and I've liked every one of them!

Yeah I know what you mean. It definitely "feels" different to me too. I haven't played long enough to say if I prefer it more or not, but it "feels" better to me than MW2 did so far. I've seen a lot less camping now than in MW2, and the killstreaks are no longer a constant annoyance. Maybe it's just because I've done pretty well on my first few games where I played with some ATers. I do think the graphics look worse to me though, but not enough to worry about.

I'm mixed on it thus far. It's alot of fun and I do like it quite a bit but I'm unsure of it's longevity for me. It doesn't have quite the polish that MW2 has but it plays pretty well. Character graphics are kinda cartooney, environments are great though.

For now it's a definite keeper, I'll have more impressions as I get more time in.
