Party system for the 360 is horrible. Really turning me off to the game. I spend more time fucking off in the menus than actually playing the game.

This is exactly why you beta test stuff before you let it go to production -- it only makes sense. This has been an issue with the CoD line at since at least the third installment, which of course Treyarch's shitty game studio made.

Campers are starting to drive me crazy. It seems every level with several building everyone just finds a window and hangs out. I've just been playing everything but deathmatch for this reason.

Campers only exist because nobody goes and kills them. I haven't noticed any issues, but I tend to stay out of the open and like to knife people in the back who sit at windows.

I havent noticed any major camping, well more so than MW2. of course if its a window with a good view of fire it will have people wanting to be in it. Just plop a claymore a syou run by and wait

A few have been in odd buildings in the rear but they get me once or twice then i kill them

I just finished the campaign...and all i can say is...WOW! I honestly enjoyed it more than all the MP i've played, it really is that awesome.

Meh.

Just finished the campaign... WOW, that sucked.

I've enjoyed all the other COD campaigns in the past, but I honestly couldn't wait for this to end. So much scripted junk and QTEs (more of it than in the past) really left a sour taste.

I absolutely hated the controls on the helicopter and
shooting down the hinds
. I mean, let me pilot the dang helicopter, not just strafe it down a corridor! The SR-71 addition was pure fluff, and was the
takeoff QTE
really that necessary?

The only thing I really enjoyed on the campaign was
boating down the river listening to some tunes while blowing shit up.
That was awesome, and frankly there should've been more of that.

FWIW, the story was alright... But, it certainly could've been A LOT better. I mean they picked the Cold War, and that's the best they could do? Eh...

I unlocked the Galil and now I'm really tearing shit up. Bringing my 0.81 k/d almost up to 1.0 after quite a few matches tonight. Loving this gun.

Good games Anibus and velillen, matchmaking was sucking, but the FFA was fun, i'll be on tomorrow if anyone else wants to play along.

God, the game informer reviewers are pathetic, i'm honestly thinking about canceling my subscription. The only reason i ever got it in the first place is because of that discount card anyways...

The only reviewer I trust is Tycho from Penny Arcade. I think there has only ever been one game he suggested that I didn't like, and that was RDR.

So, I've finally put enough hours into BO to prestige. I have to say, the shine is wearing off really quickly on this one, quicker than any CoD in the past. In as many ways as they push the series forward, there are many regressions and things getting way too stale.

The wager matches are fun, but they still seem too much as an aside to the "normal" MP, and literally nothing has changed in the standard game modes. I would have liked to see some new game types for the "real" MP.

This time around, I know exactly which weapons I want, and which weapons are the best. Not which weapons are the best for me, but which weapons literally outclass the others. The homogenizing of the weapons is the biggest bummer to me - there's really no longer anything to look forward to while leveling up, because either you have the best weapon in a class already, or there's a *slightly* better version of what you already have coming up. Its funny how they allowed you to apply so much cosmetic customization to the weapons (most of which is detrimental to your game), while completely stripping away all the personality of the actual function of the weapons themselves. All the flavor and style of the different weapons is gone here, its just a very bland mix, even if they look vastly different from each other.

But the biggest disappointment is still the maps. You know why people keep repeating nuketown OVER and OVER? Because its the most tightly designed map. Its an arena-type map thats easy to get your head around, easy to think about how you're going to approach it, easy to know where the enemies might be showing up. The type of map that IW makes, and that treyarch doesnt seem to get. Just like the weapons, they homogenized the maps into this lifeless mess.

There's enough problems that they corrected from MW2 that I'll almost certainly continue to play BO. But thinking about it more, I'd honestly rather have the MW2 maps and guns (minus noob tube) combined with the perk structure, currency and other refinements from BO. It's not that I'm used to it, it's just that theyre simply better.

is all you unlock for prestiging the extra class slots? More challenges maybe? Was hoping to see real reason for prestiging other than the class slots

i dont really know what else you would add game type wise. you have pretty much the CTF, plant bombs, just kill, FFA. What other type of game modes would you like? Nothing pops into my mind so im just curious is all.

Sadly i felt it was the same way in MW2 though. you had the guns everyone used. ACR, AK47, M4 where the main guns for the AR. Guns like the FAL just didnt get used. Pretty much everyone still ran the same guns as they were the best. With the homogenizing at least you can see people using other guns instead of everyone sing the ACR. To me its the same as MW2 but with the guns being nearly equal theres a greater chance that not everyone will use the exact same gun.

But the biggest disappointment is still the maps. You know why people keep repeating nuketown OVER and OVER? Because its the most tightly designed map. i do agree, the maps are kind of meh. They all feel the same to me. Nuketown gets played over and over cause it the fast action people like more than its "predictable". Same reason people liked maps liek scrapyard in MW2. You dont run around looking for people you know where they are. The other maps just all feel close to the same design with different background. Plenty of options for bypassing around buildings with lots of buildings to duck into. Hopefully a map pack will come out sooner than later offering more variaty. [/quote]

I agree. MW2 maps with everything else from BO would be amazing. if anything the only reason ive been taking breaks (aside from RL) is due to getting tired of the maps. Wont give it up just instead of playing for 4 or 5 hours like i did in MW2 its more like 1-3 hours and i take a break.

Personally I thought most of the maps in MW2 were garbage (wasteland being the worst map ever created)

i like the maps in this call of duty. the maps in the last one were too large and too open and had too many places to camp.

Yeah I like BO maps more. Wasteland was stupid because like most MW2 maps there was a central focus on the map, but in this map it was a very bad defensive position so only noobs would go there. That's actually why I enjoyed playing it, because I would roam the perimeter and take people out.

I'm going through withdraw, damn work. Stuck on third shift working 12's all weekend. Monday night can't get here fast enough.

I like the maps in general much better the MW2. Those were way to open. Some are certainly better than other but in general I think they are very good.

I'm trying to figure out why they even put sniper rifles in this game. I've yet to play a map that was open enough for a SR to be effective.

Plus the spawning system is god awful. I know in MW2 some times you'd kill someone then turn a corner and they were right there, but damn I'll move 20 ft from where I just spawned and there's already other players spawning behind me.

Personally, I REALLY like this map. Lots of cover to move from place to place. Lots of options. The only thing I'll agree with though, sniper rifles are pretty damn pointless. I haven't really seen many maps were they would be useful. Maybe that one wide open outdoor snowy map, but that's about it.
