Okay....been playing a lot of HQ and Demolition with random pairings. Really tired of getting my butt handed to me because of no team play.

Interested in playing with anybody here as A TEAM.

As a player, my K/D>1, going through my first prestige. Style is not so much to plant the bomb or grab the HQ, but in support of that, usually near the objective, or flanking moves to try and get behind the other team to disrupt.

That depends. The jargon isn't really a barrier - you can't help but pick it up quickly as you play. But a lot of people around here have been playing quite a bit since the earlier COD games. If you're new to FPS's on consoles, it will definitely be an adjustment.

It is the same as almost anything though. You can worry about your shot percentage or how many points per game you average; you can also just enjoy playing basketball with friends, where skill is irrelevant. I get really competitive and into some games, others I just let it go. I guess the fighting game community has made a complainer out of me though, because we complain about every little thing. =(

Nah, it's a pretty good time for anybody who just likes shooters. There's no reason to be as hardcore as some of these folks, but some really love keeping their numbers up. Plus a lot of what they're saying you figure out while playing without digging very deep.

I don't particularly mind people who are non-experts playing on my team, but please PLEASE PLEASE play with a mic and use it. I would love to have someone who constantly dies, but calls out where enemies were rather than play with a team of mutes.

And after a few matches, you'll pick up 90% of the terminology. The majority of console FPS players are quite lacking in a robust vocabulary.

Don't let the jargon intimidate you. The game is fairly easy to pick up and start playing.

Playing through the single player will help you out greatly also.

You don't need to be an expert, but your K/D might suffer if, being a noob, your ADS is not fast enough while playing TDM. But to improve your ADS you should try to get SOH Pro. Once you get good enough try using CG as your 3rd KS, you can really rack up kills, especially if you have all the spawn points memorized.

I think the AUG is my new favorite gun. I seem to do really well with it. I can't really say my K/D is really all that great because all I've been playing is HQ and demolition, and I don't care if I die a lot, I just throw myself at the objective, which seems to work because usually I get the most points/captures. I've tried the FAMAS lately, and I don't really like it, I don't really get why every one uses it.

The aug is a really good gun, I use it in hardcore every game. I really like the sights on it as they are easy to use and I can use a supressor for my attachment and still be able to see my targets

High rate of fire, plus decent long-range accuracy if you can burst fire decently.

Everyone that uses a mic is annoying as hell. 90% of the time they are chewing something the whole time and never talking, the other 10% they are mexican.

I finally played on Kowloon. I will be voting against it every time it comes up. I guess they got the retard who made Hanoi to make Kowloon. Too many corners for the donkeys to hide in. I like the other 3 though.

This. Kowloon is a rainy, high-elevation Favela. Camper's/loser's paradise. Hanoi is the suck, as well. Only maps I really don't like in BO.

I hate Kowloon. It is so easy for scrubs to get on a high point and just camp. Not to mention you can see way too much at those vantage points. At least on Favela when you got on the buildings, you couldn't see most of the map.

i live in western NY and when we play at night 90% of the people on are speaking Spanish or Portuguese. actually its less speaking and more screaming annoyance

The recent patch added more recoil, slower reload times, and nerfed the damage of the AK74u. It is still really good, you just can't take down 4 people per magazine anymore.



I get quite a few kids (most of which are white and try to talk as if they were not). Occasionally, I'll get a few Hispanics, but generally either they don't have a mic or are in party chat the entire time. It is really annoying how little teamwork is used in this game.
