Call of Duty Ghosts Impressions

I'm starting to feel like you guys. Boring. Campy. Getting old. I will probably only continue to play MP with friends. I'll actually try out the SP and co-op stuff more, for once.

I like the mp better in BF 4. But only thing is at least in ghosts I can see who my enemy is. In bf4 I can't tell if they are an enemy or team mate unless I aim and put my crosshairs on them.

I've been playing quite a bit with the Honeybadger and AK-12 assault rifles. You can kill people insanely fast with them. The MSBS is a beast of a gun and accuracy is through the roof with it, but I don't typically like burst rifles. I play mostly with specialist and support perks. The Oracle helps if you're playing a campy team.

As far as maps go, there's a few comparisons on Youtube between Strikezone and MW3's Dome. Stonehaven is huge but it's nothing that a sniper or marksman rifle can't take care of.

I'll most likely get a PS4 and XB1, but don't plan on getting Ghosts for either of them.

I didnt care for the honeybadger. I want to try the MSBS before it gets nerfed since everybody is crying about it. Im starting to get a feel for the maps now. I am only playing dom while waiting for CTF to come back which I hope it does soon.

Holy crap... I should have googled the download size before buying CoD: Ghosts on Steam. The single-player alone is 28 GB. My bandwidth limit is 80 GB and I juts got a 75% used alert earlier, so ~20 GB left and about $2/GB extra.

I was expecting around 10 GB.

Going to stop it at 10 GB and resume in 3 days when a new billing cycle starts.

I feel terrible for you. 80GB just isn't enough these days. Buy one a game a month? Don't plan on doing much else.

I forgot to add, don't let people in this forum read you have a data cap! They argued against me quite a bit when I suggested MS removing the install to HDD from disk for "digital" copies didn't help people, because you know, in America some of us don't have data caps, therefore nobody else does either.

Yeah Blitz is fun for a quick change of pace but it wears very quickly. I can't believe they replaced CTF with that nonsense.

I just made a TDM class with SitRep + two C4's + two Concussions for that very reason. I'll see how that works and may add Danger Close

I downloaded about 8 GB one day, paused it, then it restarted at 0 GB, which I also paused and this one paused/resumed properly a few times. However, once I finished downloading 28GB the second time, it still installed the original 8 GB... so 28 GB download became 36 GB. Great... And this was just the single player. Maybe it did the multiplayer at the same time too.

yeah, I added danger close+ the tube, but you can't carry a launcher to. The game is getting too serious. Tired of devs listening to the hardcore crybabies. There was something for everyone in the past, and I'm just tried of playing the same stealth style over and over. I actually started sniping, and I never liked sniping in any of the other games.. I snipe a bit mw2. It is super cheap, 1 shot 1 kill with a silencer equiped?

Here's what mw2 did soooo right. Cold blooded (ghost), stopping power, and danger close were in the same slot and you could only pick one. All 3 of these perks were super powerfull. That allowed for multiple balanced playstyles and classes. Of course, everyone cried about DC and SP.

The tube and danger close is why I started playing hard core team death match and I haven't looked back. I've been playing hard core now since mw2 because I don't like dumping a shit load of bullets into some one to put them down.

I've always ran stealth classes so the perk selections never bothered me. I use the ak12 and one of the marksman rifles can't remember the name of it but one bullet to the chest drops a person. The game is all about camping but I know the maps good enough now that it doesn't bother me.

I use incog, off the grid, max ammo, and takedown as my perks with 2 ied's and no secondary. I've easily made it a whole game numerous times with out dying and keeping my primary weapon without picking up one from the ground.

If you play cod you just have to adjust to the gameplay, I don't have a problem with this game at all

I think both of us were referring to using such a class to get campers out of holes. There are a number of spots on many maps where it is difficult to get someone out of when they want to play the bitch.

Every now and then I pop in ghosts in the ps4 just to mess around. But yea I spend a lot of time in bf4. It's easy to level up if you play conquest now that it's functional.

Ok. After spending a bit of time on it on xb1, here are some of my impressions. First, thank god GW is back, but the games engine and visuals arent all that much of an improvement over 360. Why can they. Not increase match size to 12 v 12 or somethin? How is this game so large? It looks just like MW2 and I think the MW2 audio is better. The explosions n stuff from MW2 sounds way more epic. Now to the goods. At least in GW it is not as campy as 6v6. There is a multitude of different builds viable. I love sniping with Danger close on. The sniping is just a gimmick to lure nubes into my. Ied. Tired of getting beat by snipers. Equip the m27 lmg + thermal. Highly effective against snipers. I get to my chopper gưnner on prison break easily with this class. On sovereign I rn n gun with the badger + grip and ap rounds+ blast shield for domination. Overall im enjoying ghost. I would rank it 3rd behind bops1 and MW2.

I know this game is pretty much dead to everyone, but thought I'd ask a question anyway. For those on XB1, are the supposed dedicated servers apparent at all? Are there still laggy matches and BS deaths due to lag? i.e. You see them and start shooting first, but they kill you and on their screen you were never shooting?
