This game is hectic and I love it. I think the people having a lot of trouble are the ones that try to run the whole time on mp. There are major choke points on Some of the maps. If you play with a clan against randoms you should literally desroy them. This game is different then other cod games for sure, and they can improve some stuff

I'll rent it (or pick up a used copy for $5 or less after the next release) and play though the SP at some point. CoD MP has no interest to me though, MW was good, but that was many many many many many years ago now.

I'm not getting it. I'm changing the cycle, since they won't. Did you see the copied cut scene video yet? I couldn't tell any difference in graphics. I watched some gameplay video and just thought f this..it just looks so boring.

I live in a rural area of Washington. The closest store to carry Ghosts, a city of about 14,000 people, had plenty in stock the day of the release. The clerk told me they had about 60 people, mostly kids, at the midnight release party. He said there probably would have been a few more if it wasn't a school night. There were even posters and stickers left over. Passed on the poster(no holes in my walls), but took a sticker for my friend's kid.

Yeah, this is what I am wanting to know. I'm guessing that if it doesn't do as great as they'd hoped, they will hide behind these numbers.

I think with it being so close to BF4 release, next gen versions not playable, and people looking forward to next gen (and other titles too)...the sales will take a huge hit.

I think Smackababy made a good point, terrible time to release this game.

I'm not getting it so far. Maps are just confusing messes and way to spread out for my tastes. I prefer the tight close up maps like Nuketown. It just seems so spread out unless you play a game mode that draws everyone end you go around forever without seeing anyone. Not to mention the maps encourage campers which drives me nuts. I'll give it a few days but this one may be short-lived.

Looking at all of the reviews and impressions for Ghosts, I'll be skipping this one for sure. I enjoy Black Ops II so much that I even bought the DLC Season Pass, which doesn't happen often. But Ghosts doesn't look a single bit better than Black Ops II. If anything it seems to be a step backwards.

Infinity Ward is pretty much dead to me at this point. Treyarch is the better Call of Duty maker... which is funny, because I totally would've been saying differently a few years ago. But Treyarch actually cares about the PC community which is pretty important to me.

Right. Some of the compact maps are good, but your enemies are right on top of you at all times. Some of the other maps are huge and with it being 6v6 in the lobbies it can take a long time to find someone to shoot at. I think some of the maps are made more for Ground War or the huge gameplays of Battlefield 3/4. In COD, though, with less people, it makes running with a short range weapon pretty pointless.

Another issue I noticed last night is that there were something like 350,000 players online in Xbox360, but a few games it would end up 2 or 3 people against 5 or 6 and additional players weren't connecting to the lobby to even it out. A friend and I ran around 2v6 for almost an entire match because nobody else connected.

In the Military they preach "check your corners". You don't think Taliban insurgents try to hide in corners hoping to shoot a Marine in the back?

Now in a FFA deathmatch style game this gameplay style is lame. In a team based game and you are on point, expect to take the first hits.
