Call of Duty Ghosts

Anybody actually finish this? Anybody actually ENJOY finishing this?

I was deciding whether to jump on the Activision franchise sale this Sunday and realized that I had already purchased Ghosts, so I decided to play it. I'm toward the end (which at only seven hours and probably half of that repeating sections is just sad in and of itself) where it gets brutally difficult, and it's occurred to me that I've not particularly enjoyed any of it. It's like trying to play a video game while being forced to simultaneously play the Lightning Round from Ms Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing Methamphetamine Edition and watch a Uwe Boll movie, except of course that Ms Mavis would warn me before I have to type or die and Uwe Boll at least has the decency to not insist I watch his crappy scenes over and over and over again between typing frenzies.

I've always said that nobody does scripted action like Infinity Ward, but it's finally sinking in that this does not apply to Activision, and hasn't for some time. I think this will be my last Call of Duty (Call of Doodie?) game, at least for awhile.

My cousin is a diehard COD guy,he got hyped and bought into Ghosts as every other COD and its sat pretty much as a coaster ever since.That is pretty bad.

The only good SP campaign in the series was the second; the rest were average at best. WaW and MW3 were slightly above the rest, but still far below 2.

I buy the series with the expectation that this will never change, so I primarily get them for benchmarking.

I finished ghosts single player. Wasnt terrible, but I thought the ending was really lame. I used to look forward to a new COD every year, but have pretty much given up on the franchise now. I enjoyed all the SP campaigns through Modern Warfare, after that they have all been pretty generic. I wont buy any more COD games until they become cheap, which unfortunately seems to take a long time.

Anyway, I bought most of the COD games a while back on some sort of super sale. Did not include Ghosts or BLOPS.

Too much gaming to do, cant catch up. Will do Ghosts later this summer I suppose.

Recently finished CoD Ghosts. It was enjoyable, but playing it right after having played Black Ops II (a much better game, IMO) for the first time definitely skewed my view of it.

I'm at the part where I have shoot a gunship using a missile launcher. Maybe it's just because I'm laughing so hard at the concept of a big, slow, vulnerable converted cargo plane approaching an aircraft carrier in broad daylight but the aim point drops all the way down so that all I can target are boats.

Part of my problem is the way I play, using a joystick and trackball. Certain parts of the game are coded differently, so (usually at some stupid timed QuickTime event) the game suddenly forgets my mouse is inverted or will take a left mouse button push from my trackball, but not from my joystick. Typically these are also situations where I have to watch some scripted event or cut scene which lasts much longer than the few seconds I live whilst trying to figure out which combination of keyboard, mouse, joystick and trackball will respond and in which direction. It's like the developers aren't happy just to make me hate them, I have to actually be motivated to hunt them down.

I've played all the cods and moh games, but Ghosts seemed to grow on me. Played it on ps4 and PC, and the third time I played the campaign, I really enjoyed it, the ending was poo, but the very last ending after all the credits shows Logan in a hole in the rainforest. The same treatment that rorke was given with the poisons.
I don't know, cos I'm from the UK , but it didn't sit well with Americans cos the USA was no longer a super power, he'llknows what happened to the UK. I still enjoy the mp side aswell.
