Did the zombies return? Only reason I'd buy it.
Played about 30 minutes into the campaign. With all video settings maxed, I'm getting 30-45 fps. CPU utilization < 30% on 4 cores, and GPU utilization 40-50%. Is there something wrong with my rig or is the game just that poorly optimized?
rig: i7 860, hd 5850, 8 gigs of ram
Probably something is wrong, are you forcing any settings through catalyst center?
dont even have to look at reviews/gameplay to know this game is trash
2) I just bought BF3 - Right now I am spending tons of time playing BF3 multiplayer, so I have no need for another military shooter. Maybe 6-9 months from now I will be more interested, especially if the price drops to $30-$40.
Since this is Activision we're talking about, I'm pretty sure this game will still be sold for $60 a year from now.

Despite what everyone says about COD, I want to get the game. I play mainly single player and would like to see how the continuing story turns out. Hopefully it wont be as nonsensical at MW 2, but I am not counting on it. I thought COD4 had both a good story and gameplay.
Since I just pre-ordered skyrim though, cant see paying full price for MW3, I will wait a while for reviews and to see if it has performance problems like Blops did at the beginning. Maybe my friend will just get it or even rent it for the x-box.
People keep trashing the engine, but what amazes me is that COD 4 ran well on low end systems, even on a single core CPU. But now the system requirements keep increasing but I cant really tell any difference in the graphics. Matter of fact, I thought Blops had worse graphics than COD4, or maybe it was just a different style (all brownish grey and dull).
The TF2 community has some absolutely unbearable people, which makes playing the game a horrible experience, in my opinion. Having to hear people complain incessantly during every match just kills the experience for me.
it ran well on LOW end systems as it was DESIGNED ON A 7 YEAR OLD CONSOLE.
We don't want runs well on a POS.. we want an engine that pushes limits and pushes hardware and technology..
its old its tired and it's a been there done that type thing.. they are all the same..
I won't buy BF3 or MW3 until the first patch comes out for both of them. Hopefully, most of the major bugs will be worked out for them both by then for a more fair comparison.

I just wish they would come out with a FPS with a good single player storyline. Maybe MW3 will be decent, who knows.
