The hit boxes are a little over forgiving in the game and the animations are still not fluid like the good all days of MW1. Though, if you take it for what it is, it's actually fun when you get use to it.

Dedicated servers should be ranked, damnit.

Yes, they are valid for the US region. You just have to make sure to select the "Region free" option when checking out your game.

They are not valid for the USA and can be banned at any time and nothing you can do about it . What you are using are copies sold by the distributor with the intent that they are going to be used in the country for the business sold to. Distributors have agreements for a reason. Don't you think every store in the USA would love to sell the same games cheaper than their competition ? If I am a distributor for the USA and I pay a lot of money to have that right and then you come in and cut into my profits how long do you think I will let you do that ? The ONLY reason those keys from sites like that don't get banned is because they are not a big enough part of the market for the distributor to care. Let it become significant though and you will see it end fast.

Basically buying from sites for cd keys is a risk. You have to weigh the cost vs the chance that it will get banned. You have no recourse should it be banned.

I dont mean to be dense, but if you just purchase the CD key, how do you get the main part of the game? Do you torrent it? Or can you download it from the site that sells the CD key?

Activate it on steam, if it's a RU version, then you need a VPN. Then download like normal through steam. :awe:

Agreed, I do all the time. And at the end of the day Monitor > TV any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

As for Modern Warfare 3:

I enjoyed MW2 and put many hours into it.

Map packs gave me a bad taste....

Never bought BO as it didn't really look very innovative or an upgrade in Graphics.

Will not buy another COD game until I see some progress/innovation.

I doubt MW3 will offer that, but we shall see.

Your doubts are correct. It's pretty much MW2 with a map pack and of course rampant cheating already in multiplayer. If I were you I'd pass on this one. Wish I did.

Better than I thought it would be.

It actually runs well on HD3K graphics.

Modern Warfare 3 > black ops = battlefield 3 = team fortress 2 = left 4 dead 2 = Modern Warfare 2 = Shit > half life 2.

Just happen to see this.

I think I will wait a bit till a deep discount comes now. Skyrim out in a less than a day anyway.

To be honest, I'm surprised more devs dont do this. Just build up a repository of models from every game you work on, and then just plug them in and create new ones if the locale calls for it. Not that big a difference from using shared libraries. They at least gave it some new textures.

My game doesn't look like that. It looks fugly compared to bf3. It's fun though. Really digging confirmed kill mode. You can try to grab a tag yourself but it's better to be covered or kill while someone grabs the tags. Maps are OK.

I played ground war and that's a fun mode. It gets crowded as hell on the small maps though.

It's kind of funny because Q is my flashbang key so sometimes I'll try to "spot" them and then I'll end up flashing myself .

edit: Oh yeah and there is one gun that's way overpowered. I forgot what it's called but I saw a video youtube. It shoots in bursts but it takes 2 bullets to kill someone.

well everyone compares MW3 to BF3 and to be honest today BF takes the 1st place; but that is just my opinion (although it's the right 1)

You guys really need to grasp at such little things to belittle the game?
I think they do... I haven't seen any obvious bugs in the 2 nights I've spent playing the game. Matched games on Tuesday and then dedicated server last night. It runs like a game that's already had the bugs patched out before release and in a way that probably bothers people. What do I complain about now?!

The biggest complaint I keep seeing over and over is no ranked dedicated servers. I don't really understand that. In the previous games I would rank up quickly so I can unlock everything I want then stay at the top level and keep playing. Didn't see any need to prestige and do it all over again. In MW3 you go into Private Match - setup your class using any weapon, attachment, pro perks, etc. and join a dedicated server. There's no need for ranking because you're essentially already at the top rank. Maybe I don't understand because I'm not a stat whore or someone who thinks they're better than others because they have the logo of someone who has prestiged 50 times beside their name - that's not a symbol of skill, that's a symbol of too much damn free time.

who cares? so they recycled 1 building? Are you pissed that this happens in real life too or just in a video game or just in CoD?

Agreed, it's not like Battlefield doesn't do any copy pasting...let's be real here.

Overall, I like some of the changes done to MW3.

However, the graphics do suck. Its nice that it runs at a higher frame rate, but it is far from a modern looking game.

The feel of the game is vastly superior to that of Black Ops. Weapons feel better, and the audio is a lot better.

But I still much prefer BF. But they are very different games.

Not exactly copy/pasting but they are using the same designs. Or maybe just importing and tweaking with their new engine.

One of the biggest gripes when valve made cs:source was just how different it was from 1.6 and earlier. It fractured the community and competitive scene. You've got guys who made the Pro-mod using the source engine that was basically to copy the gameplay from 1.6. Fact is a large part of CS community basically wanted the same game with prettier graphics.

Same kind of issue when Valve released TFC. Most of the bigger names stuck with QWTF and the game sped up like crazy when everyone started bhopping. Instead of switching over they just gave the game up when the player count dropped. Then in like '01 someone started a QWTF.com site and everyone started playing again for like a month. You saw old old players like meat and Mr buzzkill playing again. Got even worse when the Fortress Forever mod was released which was initially supposed to go back to the QWTF style of TF vs TFC.

Even in BF3 you have guys whining about how it's not the same as a previous iteration in the series.

I definitely think $60 is too much for any pc game but at $40 or $45 I think MW3 is a good by. IF added new maps, new campaign which I don't usually play anyway, couple of new game modes, weapon unlocking system to keep it fresh. But the core gameplay is still familiar. If I was a mw3 fanboy I'd be in heaven.

That native image quality thing... I imagine that takes away the blurriness from the wall textures too right? I knew something was off - the little things like handbags in the shopping areas, watermelons, chickens, etc all looked great... but the walls looked washed out. Wondering if this fixes that. That's 1 of 2 complaints I personally have about the game. The other is the on/off sound effects when you come and go from buildings, which may also be a setting heh.

just finished single player and it wasn't bad. but imo mw2 ending > mw3 ending. just something about mw2 being much more epic than mw3.

anyways i wonder what the next storyline will be for the next game?
