Call Of Duty+United Offensive

Call of Duty is without a doubt one of the best games I have ever played.Imagine my enthusiasm when I heard of United Offensive,only to be utterly disappointed by nothing but tanks ruining the Shooting experience.Does anyone else feel this way,and do you think we could have the administraters change this in some way?

Well there are tanks in the base assault mode.
That is the only one I have played. but there are no tanks in some of the modes I know that.
S if you dont like the tanks don't play that mode. I think the tanks are very good.

But I'll respond to your question since I am a big CoD fan.

I too was excited when UO was coming out. My reaction to the game is mixed. I think the tanks add some additional excitement and flavor to the game, but I do think that sometimes they are overkill.

Many times that's what some players do - drive around in tanks the entire map and shoot up the place. Ideally, the tanks should be limited. I think you'll start seeing this on different servers - tanks will not be as widely available. Or, once each tank is destroyed, that's it, no more for the remaining time on that map.

I think the tanks are great,but do we need one around every cornor awaiting anybody and everybody who runs in its wake.As for the modes without the tanks those maps(I think)are not that great.All in all I think the tanks are too much,they need to limit them to one or two in my opinion.And I only created the topic because I just joined and I couldnt think of much else to talk about.Just treading water.

I'll play UO once I finish CoD. Anyway, I only know about tanks from BF1942. In that game, you need to be a good player and know how to use a tank well or it's more of a liability than anything else. You're a sitting duck for planes. Everybody and his aunt will come at you with genade launchers the second you have any success. Grenades are highly effective against them. Jeep drivers seek them out. One shot to the back and they're toast.

Since when are there any rules in WAR gentlemen? You guys crack me up wanting to specifically tailor the game to your liking. Too many tanks? As far as I know, the guy with the most tanks usually wins a war. So if the other guy has more tanks than you do, it's more challenging by far. Asking to reduce the number of tanks is like asking to make the game easier. Where's the challenge in that? I like it when the game is a hard as possible. Makes it that much more fulfilling to play it. I like CoDUO just as it is.

Running around corners is the surest way to get yourself wasted in ANY combat game.

Depends on the map, I suppose. Anyway, there are some maps in BF1942 where there are only 1-2 tanks and some tweaker is always the first to jump in and go do donuts or shoot at his own guys with it.

Since when are there any rules in War,is absolutley correct.However there is a budget.Proved by the germans in The Battle of the Bulge.If they had a tank appear every time one was blown up we may have been called germans today,but wasn't the case.Were talking about realism not a $100,000,000,000 armoured budget.

Wanted to see if anyone felt the same as I did,or if I was the only one who had a personal vendetta against tanks.
