this club is on clearance for a reason. it is suck. worse than the VFT, which was an unqualified failure. the light shaft and immense draw bias made damn sure it was unhittable. like the VFT, any ball hit on the toe side of the actual sweet-spot was a dead-duck. that's why it didn't last. remember, most drivers have a shelf life of 18 months or so. these came out on Valentine's Day of this year. you do the math.
as for hot clubs now, the GBB II is selling well, even though they are allocated at 6 per account until February. the Taylor Made r500 series is also hot. for 100 bucks less, however, you can get the "driver of the year" according to golfweek. the Cobra 427 and 350 both sell for 299.99 retail. they are price protected, but most independent retailers will sell them for 269.99. wholesale (after discount) is around 198. for irons, the new ping I3+ irons are hot. the bounce angle has been softened a hair, the leading edge rounded a little, and the hosel also softened. most importantly, the shaft is lighter now. the new NIKE pro-combo irons are great, too, but designed for the 0-8 handicapper, and worst of all, if you need custom specs, or want a better shaft than the junk NIKE has in them, they are quoting June as the earliest you can get them. TM has two sets of forged coming out after the PGA show as well. if you have any other questions, please PM me, i'll answer them all.
