Calling all booze hounds

I'm looking to move up to better alcohol, its time to leave the Skole and Seagrams behind. So for you experts out there what's the best alcohol on the market?


Tonight I'm sipping Belvedere vodka for the first time and its pretty good. There is very little odor and suprisingly there's a very nice after taste to it, kind of like vanilla.

What kind of alcohol can I get in the 50-100 dollar range? I'm looking for something really smooth and I don't have to drink an entire bottle to get a nice buzz.

Grey Goose Vodka is good as well as Armadale Vodka.

Disaronno is probably the best Amaretto.

Kahlua is great if you want slight coffee taste, great with milk or vodka or both.

For whiskey there's Knob Creek and then some of the limited editions of Jack Daniels.

 

Saphire and tonic.

Standard liquor is 40% alcohol, this doesn't change with price.

I normally only drink gin and vodka, and choose Bombay Sapphire and Level respectively.

Grey Goose is good but I prefer Armadale. Just wish it wasn't so damn expensive, $8 a glass.

Nah, cheap stuff has more impurities, leads to a less enjoyable high and often a hangover.
