What are your VID's as shown from Core Temp (idle and 100% load)?
I just built 2 budget computers using e7400 cpu's. Core Temp list one with a VID of 1.1000 idle and 1.2625 at 100% load and the other CPU at 1.1000 idle and 1.2875 at 100% load. They are coupled with cheepo mobos that have no cpu voltage adjustments and I am shocked at the high voltage needed to run these chips.
In comparison, my e7200 M0 stepping has VID of 1.0625 idle and 1.0750 load. Considering this e7200 is running at 3.1ghz at stock voltage (cpu z shows 1.040v idle, 1.056v at load) it is hard to imagine the e7400 need so much juice to run at their stock 2.8ghz. Also the range from 1.1 to 1.2875 is HUGE. Whats going on with these R0 steppings? Just wondering if they are all like this or I got 2 bad ones.
