I use my Microsoft Intellimouse for Gaming. I have no problems nailng headshots in games like UT2004 with it. Although, I need a new mousepad. After 10 or so years of use it's starting to not feel as fluent as it used to. Time to retire the 'ol Circuit City mouse pad soon.

Also, it's one of the most comfortable mice I've used. It fits very well with my big ass hands. I probably wouldn't buy another mouse, as I've tried many and not liked them.

It's not the mouse, it's you. Just in case you're paranoid here are what some good cs players use:

Logitech MX 510
Logitech MX518
MS3.0

Theres no need to drop a ton of money on some special gaming mouse.

mx510.

And it's not the mouse, because I'm fvcking horrible.

if the 510 were to magically break (which I highly doubt, since it's less than a year old), I'd probably get another 510 or a 518.

edit: and no tweaks. I can't even disable the goddamn f-lock on my keyboard.

I would say any logitech mouse with the MX tech, you're bascially at the max of what difference a mouse can provide. But i think overall, aslong as you're not still on a ball mouse it's not an issue

mx700 and wireless explorer 2.0.
Neither one are responsible for my performance.

Currently using an MX510 (modded to remove the weight as well as the click when you scroll- it's smooth like the IE4 now).

Also use the CPL mousefix (removes acceleration), and no acceleration in windows. My cs sensitivity is roughly 1.8, which means that I do a 180 degree turn with one full swipe of my gigantic DKT pad (it's 17.5" wide).

Also note that this is my 2nd MX510, my other one just stopped working recently, and this one is intermittent. The other one I didn't do the weight mod to, so I'll be RMAing that to logitech hopefully.

I had a Razer diamondback, and that was the worst piece of sh!t I've ever used. The laser itself is pretty good, but it actually skipped slightly easier than the 510 laser! The buttons were also horrid on the diamondback; if you held down mouse1 then you could_not roll the mousewheel, because it would bump into it. Ridiculously cheap ass design. The side buttons were also highly un-ergonomic

There are 3 screws on the bottom of the mx510, two at the top and one at the bottom. They are all covered by stickers so kiss your warranty goodbye. Simply unscrew then and the mouse comes apart very easily. you might have to unscrew a pcb inside of the mouse, but either way it's really easy to get to the weight. It's a little silver colored square of metal inside a plastic chassis. Takes probably 1/3rd of the weight off the mouse, so you can move it around a little bit quicker.

thanks! actually, if you have the serial number to the mouse, your warranty is still intact since logitec only ask for that over the phone anyways, you don't need to send your old mouse in.

Razer Diamondback but oddly enough I don't like it as much as my old intellimouse explorer. Maybe I just need to get used to it?
