I have the Logitech MX1000 and seems fine to me for gaming.

I also use the MX Duo one, can't remember the model though.

Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0. 5 Buttons with a tilt scroll wheel. It's pretty slick.

Logitech G5......oh damn is this thing sweet....

especially if you the dedicated awpist in your clan on CS:S.....setting the X and Y separately is soo useful........so no matter how much you look left and right you dont lose your up/down tracking at all....

also having 5 on the fly settings can be a boon...altho 3 would probably suffice most times...

oh and the laser picks up everything, i dont spin out or anything like my opticals have on the odd blue moon occasion.....

I'm using a wireless MX700. I'm not good enough for the quality to make much of a difference =)

There are 3 screws on the bottom of the mx510, two at the top and one at the bottom. They are all covered by stickers so kiss your warranty goodbye. Simply unscrew then and the mouse comes apart very easily. you might have to unscrew a pcb inside of the mouse, but either way it's really easy to get to the weight. It's a little silver colored square of metal inside a plastic chassis. Takes probably 1/3rd of the weight off the mouse, so you can move it around a little bit quicker.

Thanks man! Nice difference in weight

MX300 with a modded blue LED. Works just fine and I get just as many kills. Although I'm really excited about MSFT's new 6000 series wireless mouse.

MX510 (red), but just got a Razer Diamondback Plasma LE just to see for myself why some people swear by it.

It'll take a few days (maybe weeks) for me to get used to the ambidexterous design again, since I'm so used to the right-handed Logitech MX5xx's (used a MX500 for a long time, then MX510).

I can't see for sure which one I like better, but the buttons on the Diamondback aren't as customizeable as I'd have hoped. There's 7 buttons, the traditional 3 and 2 on each side....but oddly enough, even with razer's mouse program, I can't set the 2 left side buttons to go back and forward in my web browser, like how the MX5xx's are setup. Since only the front-left side button can be set to "mouse4", which is usually the "go back" button....and the front-right side button can be set to "mouse5" which is usually the "go forward" button.

Pretty annoying problem.

EDIT: forgot to answer the original question of this thread, lol. Currently using a Razer Diamondback Plasma LE and Func 1030 mousepad (black)
