As a matter of fact, it does take a lot of skill. I guarantee you race teams dont pay millions of dollars to guys who can "turn left" that just shows how ignorant you are. These are finely tuned machines, and the driver not only has to completely control the machine, and use immense strategy, he has to know the car, inside and out. He has to know if the timing needs to be advanced, if a shock needs to be stiffened, camber put into the tire, etc, he has to be a mechanical wizard, on top of having to control this lightweight, high-horsepower machine, and control it, better than the next guy, he has to carefully know when to accelerate, how hard, when to back off, when to gun it, how to take the turn (there are only about a thousand different ways) and how he is going to get to the front of the pack, against drivers in cars, that are nearly IDENTICAL to his. With Stock cars, thats the whole Idea, the cars are equal, which means the person who will prevail, does not have the faster car, or more money, or a hotter engine, its all in the driver and crew. If it were so easy, you would do it, to get millions and work half the year. Putz.
BTW, Beast, in case you can't tell, I am a nascar fan, I cant wait until tomorrow.. and FVCK YEAH its a sport.
