The Camaro looks a million times better than the Flowerbird and I'd take it over the Pontiac in a heartbeat...

<< Enough is enough! :disgust:

Stop with the Nissan comments, this thread is about Camaros and Firebirds, we dont need to go off topic here

I didnt post this message so you all could talk about foreign crap, you can make your own thread for that
>>

I think they are just playing with you.

But anyway...how about looking at a used Corvette? Like a 3 year old Corvette?
>>

I know

Corvettes are cool, but I want a new car, and if I was going to get a vette, it would be an old stingray or something cool like that

I'd say go with the Firebird. I always liked its muscular stance better.

And for those of you who don't understand the attraction to these cars, maybe this video will help you to understand.

we understand that they're powerful, but the interior sucks a$$ and the fit & finish is horrible. they're also drone and bug on extended drives. don't even get me started on the hp/liter aspect either...

The interior in my WS6 is fine. I didn't buy the car for 'creature comforts', I bought it to go really really fast and look good while doing so. I've taken my car on 300 mile trips and have had no problems, and excellent fuel economy (24 MPG) for a 346 ci V8! There is hardly any drone doing 80 MPH in 6th gear.

What about the hp/liter aspect? It's called SPECIFIC OUTPUT. Let me guess...your 1.6L ricebox is much more technically advanced because it makes 130HP and is only 1.6L. Yeah, I hear that every time a ricer tries to race me and loses. I also get the "Well, my engine is 1/2 of your engine" and the famous "So...my car is a show car."

Hahahaha...people with slow cars are funny.

The camaro has very mundane cookie-cutter styling...I think the people who can't afford a WS6 convince themselves camaros look better.

also, you dont have to rev that thing to 7500 to make the power LS1 has a nice TORQUE and HP curve... this is one baby that doesnt need to be bottle fed to perform! (unless your crazy!)

Should start another thread for this to clear up the misguided youth who sincerely believe that the epitome of automotive performance begins with a Honda, and not just any honda, the Civic, no less.

Oh yeah, a '67 Stingray Convertible owns ANY car, period.

I really think this is a totally subjective decision and dependant on what "YOU" like.

I mean your talking about two cars that for the most part, mechanically are the same..the only differences lie in a few options, body and wheel styling, and the interior.....

You have to choose what you like better in those regards.

Personally I think the Ram Air TA looks far superior to any Current model camaro, but then again that is just me....

but I would take a Mint 70's model anyday over them.

Or a Mustang Cobra as I find them much more attractive and what I consider a better made car.

One thing for that Nissan though is that it looks alot like a porsche from a distance, and if it will really ring in at that price and have that much HP, well I might start looking at foreign afterall.

Good luck with your decision.

I like the T/A myself. If it has the ram air hood it makes it that much more bad ass looking.

Those don't have the same feel as a good old American V8. Sure I love those cars, but a turbo-ed 6 just doesn't attract the same people as a V8 does. deal with it.

i was actually responding to these brilliant comments:

heheh some funny posts here but remember the "J-body" will becommimg to an end soon and there will be no more...

But I vote for a '68 candy apple red or triple black. unless you are a show off then a Orange w/ white "SS" stripes is for you. This way you will not have to eat $5000 after driving it off the lot.

Ya I own a 300Z <--with empty catalytic converters and bad mufflers it almost sounds V8 ish very deep raspy I do not want to change it. also the empty cats give me better mpg But definately no '68 396 sound. (needless nissan ref) the only decent ricer IMO.

Seriously though i'd go camaro.

How about $ per hp?

Vehicle Horsepower Price Per Horsepower
1. Chevrolet Camaro 310 $69.82
2. Pontiac Firebird 305 $77.11
3. Kia Sephia 125 $79.96
4. Ford Mustang 260 $86.31
5. Kia Spectra 125 $86.36
6. Daewoo Lanos 105 $87.61
7. Daewoo Nubira 130 $87.68
8. Hyundai Elantra 140 $89.28
9. Toyota ECHO 108 $92.55
10. Ford Focus 130 $93.27

It's a shame that all these other cars mentioned in the same sentence with the muscle cars.

Ya calling my ricebox slow? Granted on a straight a way you'll smoke me...but how about we take our cars to willow springs or laguna? I'll take a stock 1.3 liter engine 1993-1996 RX-7 and run circles around ya.

Ok back to the question...Take Firebird with WS6 package bro...you'll be like the blackbird.

Now this is the type of ownage I like to see, awesome job dude, I'm sick of these kiddies who think OHC is some kind of new discovered technology, I had one little boy try to tell me the 345HP 455lbs of Torque the new GM 8.1 liter puts out is it's maximum, GM has already produced a kit for that motor from ALL GM PARTS that takes it to a cook 575HP and 605TQ and still remains FACTORY RELIABLE. I've seen Camaro's show up at DynoPro with over 450HP to the WHEELS, so stop all the kiddie litter people, your magazine reading experience and talking to "The HomeBoyZ" is meaningless
